Description
Easily compare salaries between old and new jobs with a simple, straight-forward free salary calculator.
Calculates take home salary from your annual, hourly, daily, weekly or monthly wage. This calculator also allows you to easily see the difference between an old salary an new one. Finally - an easy way to see the effect of that pay rise or promotion.
You can see the results split in a similar fashion, either annually, monthly, weekly, daily or hourly.
This salary calculator is based on the UK tax rates. It allows you to select from the 2023-24 and 2022-23 tax years.
This app takes into account National Insurance (NI) contributions, student loan repayments, pension contributions and age (as National Insurance is no longer payable on your earnings once you are drawing state pension). Variable tax free allowances for ages 65+ are also included. Data was sourced from the HMRC website www.hmrc.gov.uk. The 45% tax rate is included as well.
The results now also include the gross salary for the period (week, month, year etc) which you select, along with all deductions and nett take home figure.
All settings are saved when exiting so you don’t have to reconfigure the options every time.

National Insurance contributions form part of the income tax we pay, but some can be removed if you are ‘contracted out’ of the state pension scheme. This app allows you to specify contracted out status and adjusts your NI PAYE payments appropriately.

I’ve been using this app for 2 years and after a 1 year break I re-downloaded it from my cloud. Although after going back to the Apple App Store I noticed that this App had new rivalry. I read recently posted reviews etc to see if this fantastic app had been neglected? No chance this has kept with the times and UK government movements and was so happy to re - download because it is perfect.
If you agree a Salary for your new/ dream job then you know what you take home. In my personal opinion I think it needs a re- brand a nice current fresh look to stand out. A new logo and possibly a new colour scheme and I’m sure the developers appreciate this comment and will do that but all given said ..... simple, been here for years and reliable service. Good work developers but please consider a re brand. A nice fresh look would definitely have more users . But it’s free and I understand why that hasn’t been contemplated. Keep up the good work. # legends
Realy good app
But could you please add some option to turn on/off one of the salary? It is good to know how much more could i get but sometimes i want the full amount. So i need to cut/paste remember the amounts…
And i looking for a job so i put in couple numbers. Some by hours some by yearly. Hard to keep all in my mind.
Maybe a tab for the actual and next jobs with name and salary so would be easy to compare with a click.

This app is a must have tool for anyone who is considering changing jobs, negotiating a pay rise or just checking that their take home pay is correct.
Salary is often, but not always a motivator for job seekers and this app has proven to be extremely accurate. I have personally used this app for the past 18months or so, and have recommended it to anyone interested in calculating ‘net’ payments.
