Ukulele by Yousician 4+

Great start

I bought a ukulele on the 27th Dec 2023 - after not picking up a stringed instrument for 20 years - wow it’s so brilliant I have already passed level 3 with all gold stars. The organised progression is brilliant.

For everyone complaining the app forces you to pay up front annually, you just aren’t looking at the details properly. Yes it asks if you want to subscribe for a year, but then underneath it gives you other options to subscribe for a month or 3 months.

As for people complaining about the price, it would be far more expensive to find a real life tutor or attend real life classes. I know because I have payed tutors to help with learning other instruments. You can easily pay £30 an hour or more! So £30 for three months using the app is amazing value for money.

Great app

This review will be similar to my review on the regular Yousician app I am a guitar player and have been for 7 years so I though may as well learn to play the ukulele that has been sitting on my desk for almost a decade so I got Yousician ukulele and I’ve been learning for 20 minutes and have excelled massively now that is most likely because I play guitar but without Yousician I would have no clue where to begin and one more positive if you get the premium on one app you get the premium on all apps

I’m not joking when I say that most households have a ukulele that is untouched and out of tune - I was in this situation and then I came across this app! Even though the premium version costs a fortune, you can just use the free version - which is still great for me!

You just sign up and boom 💥 you have a huge course of tutorials on how to play which comes with 15 minutes a day of playing along with their songs but you don’t even need this as soon as you learn the chords - you have the internet! Although some might argue that 15 minutes isn’t enough, I think that if you are only doing it as a hobby, it’s just the right amount.

The software is so easy to use, the microphone works great and I’ve never experienced any glitches. The only thing I’d say is to add more songs to the free collection and less ads popping up everywhere for the premium version. Overall, this app is great for learning the basics but pay for premium or get another app if you want to do ukulele as a profession. 🎩 Hats of to the creators for a great app for beginners!

Remember, the free version is worth it, you don’t have to pay loads for premium!!! 🤩 Enjoy playing your favourite songs soon!
