Filters! Reports! And More! It's a customer feature request extravaganza!
FEATURES
• You can now create Item List Filters based on the value of an item field.
• You can now create Item List Filters based on currency type.
• You can now create Item List Filters based on warranty status.
• You can now create Item List Filters based on specific Categories, Conditions, Collections, Heirs, Locations, and Tags.
• Support for ad hoc Item List Filters. You no longer have to save them as presets if you do not want to.
• Item List Filters can now be applied to reports.
• You can now choose any currency or numeric item field to be used for totals & breakdowns in Item List, Item Detail, and Item Summary reports.
• You can now add footers to reports with page numbers, as well as include the date, report title, or home.
• Moving Box List reports now include all boxes in the summary, even if they are empty.
• Moving Box List reports include the total volume and total weight of all of the boxes.
• Improvements to the handling of nested moving boxes in Moving Box List reports.
• Container items are now included as locations in Item List, Item Detail, and Item Summary reports organized by Location or Location and Collection.

• Repairs, Changes, and Claims now support multiple contact entries.
• When adding a new contact to a Repair, Change, or Claim, you can select from the list of contacts for the home so you don't have to re-enter the information. Of course you can add completely new contacts as well.
• You can now include a Contacts subsection in reports that include Homes, Repairs, Changes, and Claims.
• Deleting a location no longer permanently removes the location by default.
• Deleting a collection no longer permanently removes the collection by default.
• Tap or click the eye icon at the bottom of the Location List or Collection List to show and hide deleted locations/collections. Tap and hold or right click on a deleted location or collection to restore it to the home or permanently remove it from your inventory.
• Added a Policy Number field for Warranties.
• The original task Due Date is now show for overdue maintenance tasks in the Upcoming Maintenance panel.
• On the Mac, PDF attachments can now be opened in an external viewer, such as Preview. The option is available in the Settings Panel and is enabled by default.
FIXES
• Fixed a bug with displaying the wrong Display Options default information when removing a preset as the default for a collection that is also the inventory default.
• Fixed a bug where the Supply List search filter was ignored when browsing the Supply List by a specific Supply Category.
• Fixed a bug in the Home & Locations Detail Report where sub-locations were not included if the parent location did not have any data matching the report requirements.
• Fixed a bug where the date a report is generated is not included if a date range is set for the report.

Our go-to app for organising a home. Enter details manually, scan receipts and documents, or scan rooms to create 3D layouts – the app can store everything important. You may find yourself documenting everything!
Very worthwile app
Trying to keep tabs on inventory is hard enough on one property let alone others. I used spreadsheets for years, but adding receipts and warranty/guarantee information was almost impossible to do without error or losing data. This app takes away almost all the heavy lifting. You can choose how to put your inventory together from room-based items with pictures, to box-based inventories that you keep in storage (and often lose!). The really big plus is that you get a running valuation that allows you to buy the correct home insurance level for contents (you would be shocked at how under-valued your home is probably insured for today). This has gone to a subscription-based app which is a bit of a bind and would normally stop the 5 stars, but with so few decent inventory programs out there that work across the whole Apple ecosystem, this is an outstanding app you will not regret buying.
Probably the best inventory app out there …
I have been a long-time user of Home Inventory and was very pleased to learn of this new re-write. To say that it has exceeded by expectations would be an understatement. Being able to keep track of the things in your home has become a big issue with inheritance and insurance sectors. Many people simply have no idea how much value the contents of their homes have. This goes a very long way to being able to rectify this issue. The app is intuitive, easy to use and allows you to keep control of collections. The addition of a ‘disposals’ section also allows you to keep track of anything you have sold and to whom.
Unlike its predecessor, this is a seamless sync between all platforms in the Apple ecosystem.
Add into this, Binary Formations is very responsive and approachable which makes this an even better experience!
