Description
Siren is Uniden's long awaited scanner control app for the BCD536HP. The app allows you to listen to and control your scanner over a wifi link -- either a direct link to the scanner (useful for mobile applications) or over a local intranet connection.
V1 allows monitoring and control in scan mode. Future updates will continue to add more capabilities to the app.

Just a selling point
It has become obvious that Uniden created this app just so that they could claim they had an app that could control their scanners.
And it does - to some degree. But functionality is very limited and is generally more trouble it is worth.
The fact they have made little or no attempt to improve the app for years speaks volumes.
Overall very disappointing, as it could be so much better.
The iPhone has more than enough ability to provide and edit the entire database, but there is not even a token effort to do this.
Very basic and outdated
Has not been updated for several years. Functional but only in very basic form, and could do much more.

The developer, Uniden Corporation, has not provided details about its privacy practices and handling of data to Apple.
