Is your water meter somewhere dark? No worries! Use the in-app torch to help you read the meter. These useful tools will make it easier to read your water meter and keep track of your readings and bills.

If you're experiencing a problem with your water supply, the app will help you to check for any known issues with your water, or report a problem to us anytime, anywhere. These include:

Up until last night, I was happy with the app; but not now! I paid my usual payment online using the app, but I got a box onscreen saying it had been declined for some reason, I then tried to make my payment again, not once, but three times, and unknown to me all four payments were going to be taken out of my bank. I’ve since got three of them cancelled at my bank, but I say you guys need to get the app sorted out and quick!Since I put this review on here, I’ve now managed to get the situation sorted out.I would like to ask though, as from next week, how can I make a payment then? Should I use the app, or, the phone? In short, will you have the app in full working order by Tuesday?

We were aware of an issue with the app a couple of days ago and we did take off the option to pay using the app whilst the problem was being fixed. My bills have gone up enormously. I’m disabled and find it very hard to contact and when I do they are very dismissive. I often can’t contact through the day either as struggle with my hearing and am often unwell, and there is also no complaint email to use. They have me down as a single person who struggles to shower and doesn’t do own laundry as if I was a whole family. I’m just told is no issue but I do not use that amount of water. I get very frustrated an the app is not very good either as it just takes you to the website and it makes you write out all your detailsOn the form, they are on my account so I don’t understand why I have to write everything out as surely point of having app is they you don’t. I’m so frustrated I put off contacting them and try again at later date as get nowhere and more frustrated. They aren’t disabled friendly, they also keep putting up my direct debit and force me to call so I get stuck in a cycle of having to cancel it as doesn’t give option to do this online. Everything seems like it has to be done with a call. Not everyone can or do so through day. Also not everyone uses Facebook or Twitter, both owned by people who steal your data and who are the absolute worst. Both disgusting humans and one a literal Na*i.People can’t afford the crazy costs anymore, until its companies are raking in record profits, paying their CEOs ridiculous salaries and bonuses. I can’t wait for revolution cos you are all killing us!!

Nothing short of a nightmare

I have been a customer of United Utilities for years, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. For over three years, I have been trying to resolve issues with my water bill to no avail. It all started when I discovered a leak on my property and was subsequently informed that my water usage was equivalent to that of a small hotel.An engineer came out and found a problem with my meter, which was then replaced. Despite this, United Utilities continues to charge me over £5000. I have made numerous calls to customer service, but each time, I am met with a lack of resolution. To make matters worse, they report a default on my credit score every month, further damaging my financial standing. Despite my repeated attempts to address the issue and set up a payment plan, there has been no progress. I am still faced with the same exorbitant bill and no clear path to resolution. This ongoing ordeal has been incredibly frustrating and stressful. United Utilities’ handling of this situation has been utterly unacceptable, and I would not recommend their services to anyone.

I always receive wonderful service from United Utilities. I have had call recently and I was looked after wonderfully it was recommended to me to download this app and to use it which I have done the App has proved very useful and I would recommend downloading and using it to anyone.Being a disabled customer I have also benefited greatly from their priority service scheme. I know people knock in United Utilities sometimes but the service I have had is first class so I’d like to say thank you United Utilities for all your kindness to me and for helping me.Gareth Samways
