UniWar™ is a classic multiplayer turn-based strategy game with an online community.
Players take turns building their army and fighting against each other. It is like chess with multiple races and boards where terrain affects attack and mobility of units.

A game of chess, with Rock Paper Scissors and chance all in one.
First, let’s get the negative out the way - there is a free version and a paid version, the paid version gives nothing you don’t have access to as a free version user. This is excellent, there are no barriers to you to become the best player in the world. The caveat, it is a longer process due to having to watch 5-30 second adds for certain things; down to user choice to watch them but in not doing so I believe you severely hamper your abilities. That is my one and only negative.
The game play is turn based and seemingly simple. This is of course misleading as the more you play the more strategic opportunities open up to you, using the terrain bonuses, gang up bonuses and different unit compositions all add to the complexity. You could take each of your turns in under a minute or you could take half an hour. Dependant on how intricate you want to be.
There are three different races with again, seemingly similar units. However they do in my opinion very much have their own flavour.
The community is helpful in global chat and the game developers seem to have a keen eye on balancing issues (which are difficult in a game like this no doubt).
I’m currently a free to play player but I certainly intend to support this game in some fashion going forward.

This is going for almost a decade with constant updates!!,
I paid for this 59p back in the days, I believe it was ten...YES TEN years ago!! It is still getting updates with new features and compatibility solutions and I must admit that this is something of a feat. Thank you guys for developing lovely game and keeping it alive for such a long time and it is truly timeless piece so I guess I’ll find myself playing it after another decade.
To anyone interested, just buy it! if you like strategy games that’s no brainier then

Here from the beginning !
Been playing this (downloaded for free) since Day 1 and played it EVERY day since - think it was 2008 perhaps ? Met some great friends, good banter, plenty of upgrades, single and team competitions and a lot of losses along the way ! Brilliant game well done to the developers that I can say these things after all this time - 11 years ! Can this be true ?
