No choice
I had no choice but to download the new app. I had real difficulty connecting to it. The controller was connecting to my WiFi but the app didn’t recognize my device. I contacted Uponor support who responded promptly. Their advice was to reset the controller by holding the button on it down for ten seconds. I was reluctant to do that fearing a reset could make things worse. So I then deleted the new app. I then downloaded it again. After a few hours it restored connectivity and it worked properly which was nice! But I did spend hours faffing around prior to that.
It now works and does seem more stable and robust than previous app
