Can’t Pay Bills On APP

Right I’ve given this 2 stars because I’m disabled and the most critical element that I need is not on there, and that is a button so I can pay my bills yes I can see my bills but what’s the point of all that at the end of the day if I still have to struggle over to my PC log into the website while in loads of pain and pay my bill I might as well done that in the first place, so I’m gonna uninstall it absolutely no point me keeping it, hopefully you will read this and add that service on the next update, until then enjoy your 2 stars.

Hello

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear of the difficulty you've been having in paying your bills. We've now built this feature into the app so please update to to the latest version. You'll see a prominent Payment section on the home page where you're able to settle your balance or set up a Direct Debit.

Kind regards

Can’t top up using app

Moved into my property approximately 6.5 weeks ago was told on the phone when registering that they have an app I could top up my gas and electricity from. I thought this was gonna be really easy and straightforward and the gentleman on the phone said I would only need to wait around 24 hours for my account to go live so I downloaded the app after registering my details with them and it would not let me register for weeks because it kept saying my date of birth did not match their records so I called them many times to explain this and every time they would repeat what I was told at the start “it takes a while for your account to go live” anyway - I finally got it sorted when I called last week and apparently they had put my date of birth as the secondary one opposed to the primary one so I waited 24 hours as instructed and finally got on only to find when I click energy it won’t even let me top up from my phone and if I want to top up online I have to use google chrome because it’s not even compatible with safari so I feel like it’s just been a complete waste of time and in the end instead of it being easy and straightforward it’s just made things more difficult.

- allow users to top up from the app
- make it compatible with iPhones

Hello

I'm sorry to hear of the difficulty you've had in getting access to the app and topping up your meter. If you could email your account number to ejohn@uw.co.uk I'll be able to resolve this for you.

Best regards

U W Clubhouse

Words fail me! This current iteration of the Utility Warehouse app is awful. I submit readings every month for Electricity, Gas and the Solar Power we generate and record on a Feed in Tariff Meter. For the last three months and for any of these three readings, you receive a message saying “Opps, reading failed to be submitted check your internet connection” or words to that effect. Moments later you receive a confirmatory email from Utility Warehouse to say the reading has been received! For May, the company surpassed themselves. When submitting the Solar Power readings the reading just wasn’t accepted on this app with no reason apparent. On the web-site the figure I wished to submit was “out of range”, so I reduced it by over one hundred units until it was. Obviously Utility Warehouse are unaware this has been the sunniest month since 1920! Come on UW concentrate a little more on getting this app and your recording systems right and a little less on pressuring people to accept Smart Meters!
