[IMPORTANT: Do not close the vehicle through the remote app door control while the FOB key is inside. Under certain circumstances, opening the vehicle door remotely may not be possible as long as the FOB key is inside]

The UVO app has been developed to work in combination with a Kia car equipped with UVO Connect. Thanks to it, you will be able to benefit from remote services such as:

1. Vehicle remote controls (electric vehicles only)
- Set the desired temperature in the car and activate the air conditioning or control the charging process remotely from the app.

2. Vehicle status
- Offers an overview of key elements of your car’s status such as door locks, ignition, battery and charge level and supply you with a Monthly Vehicle Report (electric vehicles only) giving an overview of your car usage.

3. Send destination
- Allows you to pre-plan and set your journey through the app for seamless use in the navigation system.

4. Find my car
- Keep track of your Kia and remember where you left it, thanks to the Find My Car.

5. Alert notifications
- You will be notified whenever a car alert is triggered and sent Diagnostic Notifications about the current status of your car.

6. My trips
- Provides a summary of your previous journey’s including average speed, distance driven and time in transit.
7. User Profile Transfer and Navi Linkage:

- You will be able to link your User Profile in your car to your UVO App, so that you can check and change your vehicle settings on the app anytime. You can also back up your vehicle settings in the UVO app and apply it to your car, as well as store your favorite addresses and send it to your car from the app.

8. Valet Parking Mode (currently only available on selected models):

- You will be able to monitor the vehicle status (vehicle location, driving time, driving distance and top speed) from the UVO app while valet is driving the car. In parallel, valet can only access limited AVNT information.

9. Last Mile Navigation:

- Support you in continuing your navigation to the final destination on your smartphone after parking the car.

Oh dear

This really isn’t helpful. Poor graphically, confusing interface. Follows no best practise guides. Colours and design not helpful for small screens which most will use.
Then. The link doesn’t work fully. Fuel levels not reporting. Doors don’t unlock in the screen but the vehicle actually has partly unlocked. No wing mirrors out. Then you can lock the car which it reports as locked already and get a confirmation.
kM and Miles hit and miss.
Totally confused login between MYKIA, UVO, KUA account. Reports user/email not recognised, but click on password and it now accepts it.
Think KIA need a new App developer and design team.

Another poor app from Kia

Forced into downloading a new app even though I am in poor coverage. Thankyou Kia “would you like to download now or later?” Is not an option. Confusing with account transition . What does it mean? Most hopeless change is defaulting the charge limit settings to 50%! Why? Kia, get yourself a new developer, and think more clearly about what your customers have to go through. From bad old app to bad new app…
Another curiosity of this poor piece of software. Fast charging with drivers door open, app shows passengers door open? In UK we drive on the left with drivers door on the right… do the designers in Germany think the reverse? Pathetic.

Update: received a response from developers that I can update the charging limits on vehicle. I know this. The point is why did the developer decide to reset them? I set them where I wanted them so LEAVE THEM ALONE.

Not much of an upgrade

Still in kms, not miles - pretty fundamental really displaying range and consumption in the same units as the car - can’t be that hard to fix!! Battery percentage now a small icon further down, not a headline at the top which would be more useful than range in kms. Map seems to be less accurate - none of the charge points in my area in the right place any more. Absolute pain to install new app and join accounts. Didn’t recognise my passwords and never sent me reminder emails so was locked out for some time. Painful - come on Kia - do better!!!!
