Description

Who says calendars can't be fun?

Vantage takes the mundane out of scheduling. In part because it works well and is easy to use, but also because of useful visual cues like colors, stickers, book covers and stacks. Visual cues makes understanding a long list of stuff easier, and can help you understand your daily life better. Sort of like doodles in a physical book can help you remember notes.

Picked by Apple as the "App of the Day" on the App Store in 2019.

Stacks
Stacks are a really cool way of summarising days. It reduces clutter and visualises how much is on your plate. The higher the stack, the more things you got planned. Tap any stack to peek it’s contents.

Integrated To-Dos
To-dos live in little notebooks right next to the main timeline. To set a due date, just drag a to-do and drop it on a date. You also get to customise your books with a pre-set book cover, or even a photo from your camera roll.

Color Tags and Stickers
Visual cues makes long lists of stuff so much easier to read. Pick from a variety of funky stickers or color tags to let events either pop or feel connected.

Nice layout but minor bug with Siri suggestions

Like the app but found items in my Vantage calendar that aren’t there in Apple or Fantastical. These items show as ‘Found in natural language’ and can’t be deleted or edited. In my case a friend had sent an email mentioning their wedding anniversary and Siri had turned that into a suggestion(which I hadn’t spotted or accepted). Other calendars don’t display these items until they have been accepted, but Vantage appears to (which is incorrect as random items then are added, causing confusion in the calendar). The immediate fix was to search my iPhone for mentions of the event found in Vantage, spot the Siri suggestion and delete that suggestion. Vantage then stopped displaying it. Would have rated 5* apart from this issue.

Excellent design

This has been a fantastic addition to my mobile desktop and has allowed me to totally reorganise myself in a much more comprehensive and intuitive way. I was always carrying a big diary around because I hated the default iPhone calendar and then I stumbled across your app.
You have designed the calendar exactly as I need it, with several views that I find really useful in different scenarios. Equally, I love how easily I can manage my tasks and integrate this into my calendar as well. The aesthetic is also beautiful - I love the calendar scrolling view, the map feature within appointments and the ability to add coloured labels.
The alerts for time specific tasks and appointments are ok but I would love to see an actual alarm feature attached to these to provide an audio alert as well as a banner. On a couple of occasions I missed an urgent alert because I didn’t have my mobile in my hand to see the notification.
Aside from this, I believe it to be the best productivity app available.
Great job!

The only calendar app I’ve ever paid for

Vantage is the most stylish and cool calendar app I’ve seen. You don’t need to pay for the app unless you want to make lots of to-do books/lists, which I did, so I paid for the app, albeit warily, but after using it for two years, I’m happy to say I don’t regret the purchase whatsoever. Being able to make separate books for different lists and notes helps my mental health massively, rather than writing everything in a couple of random Notes on my iPhone and then not being able to make sense of it or feeling overwhelmed when I look at everything. I absolutely love the fact that you can choose the cover pictures of the books too, so now I have a very stylish dark floral themed book/note list that makes me happy when I use the app. Definitely recommend!
