I frequently use this app and recently discovered a significant battery drain issue that needs attention. I have a suggestion to help resolve this problem.I noticed that if you leave the app running—something many of us often do on our iPhones—it causes considerable battery drain over time. For instance, I left the app running for four and a half hours, and it depleted my battery from 80% to 20% primarily due to its continuous use of GPS.To address this issue, I propose adding a non-interaction timeout option in the settings. By default, the app would automatically close after 10 minutes of inactivity, with the following optional extended time settings available:- 15 minutes- 20 minutes- Never(With a pop-up warning): “Setting this option to 'Never' will drain your phone's battery. Are you sure you want to continue?"This way, users can choose to manage their app usage according to their preferences.

We pre-booked our cab on New Year’s eve in Bristol as we knew it was going to be chocker and hoped that we would be able to just hop in at our given time with no fuss as we had left hours of notice (almost 12). When it got to our pick up time we went outside the venue and the app now said “searching for a driver”. This confused us as this is what you would see if you had just booked a cab and it seems as though pre-booking just automatically puts your order through at the time you select. We waited for around 15 minutes and finally connected to a driver who was right next to us and we were relived as it should be with us very soon. We were happy to push aside the fact that our ride was late until our driver went past us and started doing laps of Bristol! We phoned up the company and let them know our situation but the man on the phone brushed it off and didn’t console with us at all and said our driver will be there shortly before ending the phone with nothing else. The arrival time kept switching from 5 minutes to 8 minutes to 6 minutes to 10 minutes and we were getting really fed up at this point as it was pushing 40 minutes since our booking time. We decided to phone up our driver and ask where he was as this was appalling and he insisted he was 10 minutes away, however not sounding very urgent or concerned for us. We checked the app again and the time had now gone up to 17 minutes and our driver hadn’t moved at all. Then to top it off he decided to cancel it so we had “searching for a driver” again. Not impressed at all with the service of Veezu taxis, and I appreciate it was a busy night but they should prioritise the clients that have pre-booked and if running late keep us updated at least and show more urgency. Will not be using this service again.

Overall, the app is fine but there are 2 glaring oversights that need addressing when it comes to early morning bookings.I requested a taxi to arrive at 06:10. This was submitted at 20:30 in order to allow appropriate time for it to be organised in the system. I get to 06:00 & the app says it’s booked. It gets to 06:05 and then the app now says ‘searching for an available car’! This is way too close to the pickup time deadline. Surely this should’ve been delegated hours ago in order to provide an on-time pickup.You may ask, why I didn’t realise sooner that nothing would arrive? Well, The second oversight is while I was waiting, the app was showing taxis active in my city. They would occasionally spin around on the app so I assumed they were active. However, when I zoomed in a little closer, I realised the cars weren’t on the road, they were in house parking. They weren’t ‘active’ yet. Surely there should be an option for cars to no longer be ‘active’ to give an accurate picture of how many are available to pick someone up. Plus the opportunity for Doxing drivers is possible for anyone dedicated.Driver arrived 20 minutes after my desired time & I have no problems with him at all. He was incredibly lovely & got me to my destination in good time. It’s only the app system in place, that I have a problem with.

The Veezu app has to be one of the worst apps that has ever graced this planet. Every single member of my family has their own unique and unsolvable issue with this app, meaning the entire thing serves zero purpose other than to scrape location data from your phone. The first time I used this app, I logged in and used it twice. Suddenly, the app decided it could no longer log in with my phone number, the same info I had been using to log in previously.After 9 months, due to a family member being unable to book a taxi as the app’s search bar did nothing but bring up errors - I installed on my own phone a second time. Now I can’t log into that account at all as I just get told I don’t have an internet connection of any kind (I do, or I wouldn’t be able to access this App Store or download the app in the first place, would I?) Now my family member isn’t able to use her account either as she just gets an ‘invalid’ error. This app does nothing. It barely functions. You’ll also notice how when the Devs reply, they’re asking you to contact a marketing email address. Why would bug reports or tickets be sent to a marketing email? Marketing aren’t software engineers or QA. Of course, the answer is because they’re not actually going to solve the problem. They’re just going to try and smooth it over without fixing the core issues.
