Description
Mr Fothergill's Vegetable Planting Guide is the easy way to work out the best planting times for vegetables, herbs, fruit, green manures and common companion planting flowers. It uses a database of thousands of weather stations around the world to locate average frost dates for your garden and calculate the best range of planting dates for each crop.
Features include:
- Planting dates calculated using averaged frost data which is much more accurate than other systems
- Full growing information for over 130 vegetables, herbs, fruit, green manures and companion planting flowers
- Descriptions for varieties of each vegetable, complete with photographs
- Includes Grow Guides detailing the soil and position the plant will grow best in, sowing advice, troubleshooting tips and how to harvest it.
- List plants alphabetically, by sowing month or just what can be planted right now for your local area
- Create a favourites list of the plants in your garden for quick access to information on those

Ratings and Reviews
What about the broad beans?
Very useful but on my first visit I've already noticed there is no mention of broad beans. Reckon it must be an app adapted from a US one, where they only grow them as cattle feed. Another clue: they call Autumn fall.
Useless
Downloaded this app and found it not really what I wanted and very difficult to use. The plants to plant now database is very difficult to follow. I have tried to delete the app but it won’t let me as it has not appeared in my list of apps, I have not had this trouble before or since. It wouldn’t even accept my address properly, only the town 2 miles away and not my village. I wish I had not downloaded it.
Very good app to have available
This app is perfect as a resource to have at hand while in the garden. Saves the need to keep going back to the computer.
At present it seems the app is a little new and still needs updating with all the other plants fothergills has to offer but overall very impressed.
