Virtual Choir Recorder 4+

As a choir member, I really recommend this app. It’s very easy to use as it’s very self explanatory. You’re able to select either a new recording or listen to previous recordings. If you want to record, you’re able to select which track you want to record and which section. You can record it and listen back to it as many times as you like without saving it. If you choose to save it, you can then listen to all your saved recordings before choosing one to submit. Then, when you’re happy with your selection you just press ‘submit’ and you’ve done it! The songs which have been mixed together for us sound amazing!

This brand new app was introduced to our online choir as a result of lockdown, a revolutionary new way of recording your own part at home on a mobile phone or iPad. It changed my outlook as it provided a palpable experience of being a part of a choir without getting together in real life. It was tough to hear my own voice at first, self critical as we are, but hearing the result after mixing was both uplifting and very emotional. It has given me motivation to become more focussed and added substantially to the joy of taking prt in online choir every week. The Recorder is simple to use and really amazing!

This is a wonderful app. It really helps to be able to sing your part with the support of the recorded voice. Excellent to use in practice especially if you are not pitch confident. It’s brilliant when recording too as you’re not singing solo. You have the recorded voice to help you along. It would be even better if you could download your singing part as it’s a great way to learn but doesn’t move away from note bashing. Thank you for a great app :)
