Ratings and ReviewsSee All
I have been using the app for a week now (having moved my family policy from Aviva), and whilst it may be too soon, I have not had any issues with access or my daily point count. My wife/kids are on the same policy and all is working as expected. The app is paired with Apple health/Apple watches, and it’s recorded all points fine. Whilst I am sure there were/are bugs, I suspect that a lot of individuals rating 1 star, are simply either not correctly granting and configuring access to Apple health/other, or are doing workouts that do not meet the point qualification requirements (I.e 30 or 60 mins recorded & at 60 or 70% above resting heart rate. You can do a 3 hour workout on your Apple Watch, but if it’s not been recorded at appropriate intensity (heart rate), it won’t qualify. I have done 4 workouts (3x squash and 1x hockey), and they all recorded correctly. In addition, I completed required steps, but as you can only earn 8 points max per day, they didn’t qualify as I already earned points for an “activity” on the same day. In summary, take time to understand exactly how you earn points and also ensure you have configured the app correctly, as unless I have simply been very lucky, or only used a version which has already been bug fixed, I can’t see what the issue is! :)
Possibly the worst app around!
This app is absolutely riddled with issues. It also does not seem to be very secure as it appears that your account password is stored in plain text when you ask the app to remember. This might be a sign of incompetencies throughout the development cycle of this app, whereby authentication seems to use an insecure method (it should use token based authentication such as OAuth and not store passwords in plain text). All my points values constantly state they are "null". Synchronisation is extremely slow and usually times out. The user interface, although not too bad, can be a little stuttery and a little awkward to use at times, especially on the slide up feature to access disclosed information like membership details etc. There are issues where spinners which indicate loading are constantly turning even when loading has completed. A lot of these issues could also be down to the quality of the website and web service this app uses, as the website itself is an absolute disgrace too! This app needs a complete overhaul I think. As an iOS developer myself, and from my experience in software development, this app looks like something which an office junior or someone who is working in iOS for the first time, would have produced. It also seems that there is no or little quality assurance processes in place to check the app before each release. Please improve very soon!!
Management are clearly morons
The app get flak and it’s well deserved. The good reviews are obviously fake by people who don’t use it. The app crashes as soon as you attempt to sync your steps and it logs you out. Clearly the people making decisions behind the app are morons and have no idea how the real world works. Anyone with a working brain would have seen the crash and logout just by using the app for a few seconds. You would think that their analytics would show a large spike in crashes and they would want to do something about it. They obviously have no one testing the app most likely in an attempt to “save money” because “everyone has to use their app anyway so who cares” and “it’ll save us money in the short term”.
Get your head out of your asses and start looking in the long term instead of quick fixes and quick wins. And for crying out loud stop posting fake reviews and focus on solving the issues you morons. Learn to run a business correctly and for crying out loud hire some real developers instead of your grandchild who just happens to know how to use a computer. The people running the business and making the app clearly have no idea how to do it correctly.
