Not what we need

Personally, I think it would make more sense for this app to be like a calorie-counting app, but for nutrients.

Most people don’t know whether their dinner was rich in calcium or starchy carbohydrates, so if you could type in what you had for dinner and have the app tell you how many nutrients were in your dish, it would be a better learning experience for the user and it would make it easier to use it to follow a vegan diet.

I think it’s an important app idea as getting the right amount of nutrients while still not going over a calorie limit is proving a bit difficult for me, so an app that counts your specific nutrient goals and tells you when you’ve met them would be perfect, but this isn’t quite there yet.

If the idea was for the app to promote the user to read the labels of their food and do their own research into the nutrients they provide, then sell it in that way because that’s also a good idea to get someone to learn about what they’re eating, but it doesn’t say that that’s how the app should be used.

Overall it’s a good start, but it doesn’t seem to be what most people want just yet.

Potential

I think the same as basically all the other reviews. As a fairly new vegan, I don’t know if I’m eating the right amount of vitamins, fibre, carbs etc.
So many apps do calorie counting which I don’t care about, but an app that kept track of and recommended what nutritional stuff you had/ needed would be amazing.
I couldn’t see one anywhere so googled it and an article said this app did basically that.
If this app actually told you what you needed it would absolutely fill a gap in the market!

Just another notes app

I have been vegan for some time now and came to this app hoping it might help analyse my diet to see how I’m doing. But I agree with the review by Bobblezzzz - this is really just a diary and nothing more. If I want a list of what I’m eating that I can then research myself then I’ll pop it on the fridge door. What the app needs to do to be able to offer a useful difference is to analyse what we enter and give us a daily or weekly report of what we have eaten in terms of say calcium, B12, etc and suggestions about what to substitute to rectify this. Complicated I know, but I suspect this is what most people would come to an app like this for.
