Slow to connect, then randomly cuts out
I’m fortunate to live in an area with very high internet speeds.
People like Telegram for its private nature, so a VPN dedicated to Telegram seemed like a good idea. However, the reality is that once you press connect, the percentage creeps painfully slowly up to anywhere from 35% to 50%, then just grinds to a halt. I press stop, then press connect again, this time it suddenly decides to connect quicker, all the way up to 100% & goes green, great…except when I’m reading the Telegram messages, at the top, it says “connecting…..” and struggles. I go back to the tab with the VPN & it’s just disconnected silently.
I subscribe to ExpressVPN, TotalAV comes with a VPN, Orbot is a VPN for the Tor browser, and I also have a “Tor + VPN” app. (They are all turned OFF before I use this app). ANY of those are more reliable than this waste of an app. I only downloaded it because I thought it specifically focussed on keeping Telegram messages private whilst being sent.
I’m just going to use ExpressVPN & ditch this rubbish. Any prospective users of VPN for Telegram, DON’T! You may as well use a loudspeaker to announce every Telegram message!
