Was good not now

App works on my iMac, iPhone ,but not on my i pad pro have been to touch with the team who spent two days sending me in circles reloading app changing password rebooting ect ect last person i spoke to wanted me to start the whole process again,one person should take control of the problem,i still do not have the app on my iPad Pro which i use the most ,so at the moment this app is not good value,i can not talk to one of the team until i get some seasick pills,putting me in a loop that resolves nothing makes me feel sick going round and round

Avoid!

Avoid this VPN! I’m currently in China and have heard good things about VyprVPN. I downloaded the app and proceeded to create an account, began a 3 day trial and they make you commit to a year subscription once your trial is up (providing you don’t cancel before your subscription ends). I then went to log in and it said I’ve got a subscription, but then wouldn’t let me log in. I cancelled the subscription, deleted the app and downloaded the app again. When I went to log into my account it asked me to sign up my payment information for a subscription AGAIN! They promised that I would have a free trial so I’m not sure why on earth they were asking for me to subscribe again?! I proceeded to authorize it again knowing that I could cancel before the payment was taken and it STILL wouldn’t let me log into my account and said there was no connection. I cancelled the subscription again and deleted the app, because I will not have them try to get money off me for a year when I can’t even access the free trial that they’ve given me. I’m afraid I can’t commit to a VPN without a free trial to test whether it works where I am so I will be deleting this app and avoiding Vypr. It looks like ExpressVPN are the only ones who can provide a top quality VPN.

Don’t download

I never write reviews, but am so angry that I could not allow this to happen to someone else. I downloaded VyprVPN mid January and got duped into buying a one year subscription for €70 and after two weeks of using it, it stopped responding, would not connect me to any server at all, even after spending an hour clicking on every available server, and still no luck. It ended up stopping me from being able to get online, on my laptop and on my phone. I couldn’t log out and contacted customer support and finally received a response after 5 days. Totally unacceptable, as I could not wait that long to solve the problem and ended up having to use my old phone. They advised me to uninstall and re-install it again, too much work as the problem kept on happening, so in the end I had to delete it from my system completely so I could start using both my devices again. In my opinion I should receive a refund. Don’t buy!

Good, but needs to be improved for IOS devices.

Works great on my MacBook Pro, but on my iPad I found it to be unreliable. It drops out of connection easily and doesn’t notify you. I’ve also run into a problem where the tiny vpn symbol showed in the top right corner of my screen, leading me to believe I was connected, but after jumping back into the app, it looked as though it wasn’t even connected. There’s also no ‘Kill Switch’ feature on IOS devices, so if it does abandon its connection mid surf, you’re just left exposed. Definitely needs to be improved. I’ve used VYPRVPN for nearly 2 years, and like I mentioned before, it works perfectly on my MacBook, but they need to sort out their app for mobile devices.

Inconsistent

Hi have had golden frog VyprVPN for some years and on the whole it’s good very good please give these people some credit for what they provide and the bigger picture - if you can.
I have no affiliation & have problems with server connection artery new iOS 12 updates , so the support ticket system is ok expect 24 hr response usually for dummies which can drive one up the wall as some not all the responders well give up easily
I mean they said oh must be an issue with my phone ? Which we know is hog I managed to sort myself arfter days of frustration
Now my iPad has same but I cannot get around this

Frustration and largely in my experience some ill trained tech support who just cannot fix my problem at least.
Ok I have no server connection still from iPad
And have paid for an app that does not do what they say it’s supposed to do , if I’ve reinstalled iOS and this iPad I’ve had since new & has worked with GF VRYPN is it my iPad ? I think not yet they say they can’t help NO REFUND who are they kidding yes that’s right .

Easy to use and reliable

One of the easiest VPN solutions I’ve used - on both iPhone and iPad. Essential tool for travelling and using public WiFi. Stay secure and connect to other global regions when required. Occasionally needs restarting if the WiFi network you’re on is unreliable. If you have problems connecting reliably, make sure your account is set up correctly and that the WiFi you are on is working correctly - some networks block VPN traffic.

Network unavailable

The app logged me out a while ago (probably after an update) and won’t let me log back in. Network unavailable it says. The same unavailable network that I’m using use to write this review... It seems the developers struggle with Apple products. After numerous “improvements” they managed to finally break them all. The Mac app, for instance, is in constant loop of trying to install itself. The only way VyprVPN works is on router level with manual setup. Which is not why I chose this service in the first place. Been subscribing for over two years and now, I’m running out of patience, I think it’s best to part ways before my subscription ends and find a service that actually works.

Excellent when it connects

I’ve been using Vypervpn for a few months now. It really is a great service, and it’s obvious from website behaviour that it obscures location details from most, at least. The only issue I do have from time to time is getting it to connect at all. Messages along the lines ‘Server did not respond’ are returned for every server I try. No idea why this is, maybe something concerning Wi-fi rather than Vypervpn, but annoying. Other than that it is highly recommended.

OpenVPN and Chameleon protocols needed ASAP!

The VyprVPN app needs OpenVPN, and most importantly the Chameleon protocol, because although IKEv2 is a great protocol for mobile devices, its often blocked on public wi-fi networks. Both protocols can be added into iOS apps. ExpressVPN, VPN Unlimited, ibVPN, Surfshark and Private Internet Access have OpenVPN in their iPhone apps, VPN Unlimited even has a Stealth VPN protocol in theirs, but Chameleon sounds far better, so please add the OpenVPN and Chameleon protocols as soon as possible. Apple do allow OpenVPN in VPN apps, it does take more vetting but it can be done because ExpressVPN, ibVPN and Private Internet Access have done it, so if they have managed it then so can you, so please look into it.

Garbage customer service.. untrustworthy

So after the trial and about a month of use this vpn no longer works in my location. Tried all their suggested workarounds and ran a bunch of diagnostics for them. They offered me a refund and cancelled my subscription. When the refund came it was less than 10% the amount it should’ve been.. and since then they’ve ignored all my communications. Crooks. Dog dirt.

UPDATE 8/7/18. They did indeed reach out. They spun some lies and when shown proof via PayPal communications, decided the best customer service they could offer would be total radio silence... they now ignore my emails, and have not resolved the situation. Still dog dirt. Avoid these lot.
