It’s designed to make you spend money

Been playing about 3 years now and can say I enjoy it, but it is addictive. People are correct in that you can’t get good without spending, if you read otherwise, it’s rubbish. The strength of the commanders and troop combos is key but those commanders need coin to build them quick, if you don’t, by the time they are maxed they have released new and better commanders. You need to play at least twice a day totalling around 2hrs if you want to progress and stay safe. There are 3-4 alliances in each world that are strong but getting into them is hard, once your in you have to play hard or get booted. You need to be in one of this alliances to reap the benefits of the rewards for winning time based events, otherwise getting stronger takes even longer.
It’s good, you chat to people from all over the world (language permitting), BUT, be prepared to spend time on it, it’s addictive, it will lure you in to spend money :-))

Complete Rip Off

As everyone who plays this game will confirm, ‘it’s main aim is to get you to spend money’ and this includes increasing the commander ‘Normal & Experimental’ upgrades the later being based on decreasing % chance however just prior to PopReach purchasing this game from Rockyou there was a major glitch during their new event Tower of Strength which basically game anyone who was participating at a certain time ‘infinite items’ in which they could use to maximize the upgrades to their commanders. Now this may sound insignificant but I had been playing in my world for 5 yrs and now see guys whose commanders were similar to mine now have commanders which I have not been able to achieve in the 5 yrs which also includes spending money. This issue has been acknowledged in the Mod chat room however we were told that the game could not be rolled back to undo this error and obviously they are not going to reward every single player the same as this would stop people from spending money.

So after 5 yrs I am walking away from this game and I am sure that there are people who will continue to spend but I do not appreciate being ripped off and playing an uneven game

Great concept let down by money

Started playing this game when it very first came out about 5 or 6 years ago. Fundamentally it is a great concept and was wholly enjoyable. Then it became quite exclusive to the big money spenders for advantageous evolution. Spend more you get better comms and bigger bases, then comes domination. Every world in the game is run by one or two teams made up of BIG money spenders and they control all the rules of the game. Consequently they continue to win all the events and get all the better prizes/awards which then make them even more dominant. Theres just no competing anymore. Then Gree sold out to Rock You games and its just gone ridiculous now, new comms come out almost weekly, just recently the level 140 comms came out and its only a matter of weeks before 150’s are released. Only the top players (spenders) get these as the comms required to create these high level comms are only available for a certain amount of time.
Overall in my opinion the game is now in its decline and will never be what it once was.
