Well balanced, but not perfect.
This is a great game. The visuals and sound are good and the gameplay fun. Is it another ‘Credit Card Warriors - Soend big to rule the realm!’ ? I say no. I’ve spent nothing am in the top realm and have won more games than I’ve lost. You can spend to get a leg up but there’s really no need - if you start winning a lot you’ll find yourself matched against tougher opponents so is it worth it? Criticisms - some of the units seem really useless - hence nobody uses them. Also the matchmaking can be a bit glitchy at times. I’ve been pitted against players with 10k higher rating than me and higher level cards across the board - obviously in those circumstances you have no chance of winning. There are also a few general tactics which seem overpowered and players have to work twice as hard to counter. Re-designing your deck is tough too, as to get cards to level 10 plus takes a lot of currency. It’s fine if you want to keep developing the same units, but it makes it hard to try a new deck. Overall it’s fun, but it can be annoying when a new update comes out and you find you need to completely rethink your tactics and at times deck. Well worth a play though 👍
Good game
This game just like all others mobile free to play game have a store in which if you spend enough money you will have huge advantage over other players. Matchmaking system is matching you constantly with much higher level, stronger players to force you to reach for your wallet to have better chances against them.
But during the match strategy playing big role and you can win against players with higher level and stronger troops. So you can be successful without spending huge amounts of money. I have bought a season pass for 4.99 and it’s enough for me to be able to beat players with 2-3 levels troops higher than me
Fun for a while
This is a pay to win game. Things are ok for the first few days of play. You start at a low level and unlock units as you play and win games. Eventually you hit a brick wall of progression where things take much much longer. It’s also approximately that time where you face other players who are way stronger than you. It’s also that time where the game itself starts to become a bit boring.
The options? Pay money to rapidly power up your units, or grind it over weeks and months. I chose to uninstall. The progression without paying loses its satisfaction quickly as the rewards dry up and you’re left with nothing to “claim”. I downloaded the game last week and I’m at that point now.
The game itself is extremely basic and repetitive. You may find it fun at first but it gets old fast. You spam units onto the board and try and do it in a way that beats what your opponent does, the maps are all the same so it gets boring. Once you see it for what it is, a frustration machine to make you pay... you do the sensible thing, and walk away.
