It’s Space Marine versus Space Marine in The Horus Heresy: Legions, a new strategy card game (TCG) where your actions and card battles change the game.
Choose your Legion, collect cards and build a deck of Space Marines aided by Mechanicum, Imperial Army or Chaos to rule the galaxy. Join a guild, discuss card strategy and decks, and fight in PvP Arena card battles. Choose a side in epic Faction Wars to influence which new cards, cosmetics and Legions are added to the game. Enter The Horus Heresy, one of the richest settings in the Warhammer 40,000 universe by Games Workshop, for the first time as an online TCG card game.

True to warhammer
Great game and fairly balanced. Card collection does take a little time however many common cards are similar to the legendaries just with a little bit less of an effect. I wish however there was a better way of being able to jump right in and be able to purchase a starter deck of your choosing rather than having to wait until it comes around on the daily rotation. I feel like this is a massive hinderance on people wanting to just jump in a decide if it’s a game for them. The events and campaigns are great and an easy way to pick up good cards and commanders and cards backs but there should be a way to go back and start from the start of the heresy and play through for people who are not familiar with the story, I would be happy to pay for campaigns and play through just to refresh on the story even if I have gotten many of the rewards.
I feel as if this game has loads of potential and just needs a few tweaks to expand on what’s already there. I’d highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys this type of game.
What i expected and a little more
I see some people complaining about the random element of the game, I'm not sure if they've ever player a card game but thats just how they work, luck of the draw. The game is great is uses a a-lot of similar systems to hearthstone which isn't a bad thing as that game is a great example of a card battle game. These game play mechanics and systems have existed in many other card games, they're tried and tested to work well in balance and enjoyment. Over all a good wh40k themed card game with a great attention to the vast lore and history of the universe and the horus heresy event within it, you can really tell these people know this universe and enjoy it also to include the little lore tid bits they do.

Quite impressed -but game ossibly broken by latest ‘knights’ update as knights are seriously OP.
Games are fast - 5 to 10 turns/minutes is typical.
Multiplayer is reliable and fairly even in the early stages, but once you get above 1500 points expect to be frequently matched (above 2000 points it will be almost constant) against pay-to-win decks. Prebuilt decks and killer ‘pay to win’ cards are seriously expensive in real money, so if you see certain warlords playing several ‘gold cards’ then you may as well quit and save yourself some time as they’ll be unbeatably powerful unless you get very very very lucky.
Best to play events (you’ll get tickets in random rewards) as they have you using prebuilt decks, which - although often unbalanced - at least you can choose one like all the other event players.
Still, I haven’t paid a penny and I’m winning the majority of my games just playing a deck I like the backstory of and built from the random cards obtained from playing the game.
