Description

Watch Tuner Lite measures mechanical and automatic watches accuracy. Is uses the build-in or headset microphone to record audible ticks of the clock and calculates seconds-per-day deviation. It works with almost every 'ticking' clock.

Use in a quiet environment. Any ambient noises can affect result accuracy. Complete silence is the best.

Recommended way to record the ticks is to touch the crown of the watch with the headset microphone. You will get the best results using original Apple EarPods.

This is a simple version of Watch Tuner application. Not everyone needs detailed information about a watch movement, sometimes only accuracy is important. Watch Tuner Lite uses very similar algorithm like Watch Tuner does but displays only seconds-per-day deviation.

If you want to know how much your watch is fast or slow, this application is for you.
If you prefer to measure also beat error and amplitude, try Watch Tuner - a bigger brother of this app.
If you need frequency diagram look at Watch Tuner Timegrapher - the most sophisticated app of Watch Tuner series.

Did exactly what I needed (rather surprisingly for the price)

Really impressed with this! I used it with the Apple headphones and the case back off (as I was adjusting the watch this didn’t seem like a problem) i’ve never adjusted a watch before so this was pretty reckless on my part, but the watch really wasn’t worth taking to a watchmaker(A good looking but cheap Chinese homage) really glad I bought this.

When I first tried to adjust the watch I got into all sorts of trouble (and of course had to wait a few hours to see what was going on) but with this I got it reliably running to about +5 seconds a day which is pretty amazing really.

Really works

Wow! Contrary to my expectations this actually works and works well. It takes a few minutes of mucking about to get the sensitivity and positioning of the mic right (I used a wooden table with the watch crystal sitting on top of the mic) but when it works it gives a very accurate reading. I knew my watch was off. This has told me exactly how fast it is per day and now I can adjust it with confidence. Saved me dropping over £100 on a dedicated timegrapher machine.

It really does work

It does take some fiddling... I was actually about to give this app a negative review but just before I did, I decided to read the instructions one more time. Rather than placing the mic on the crystal as some have said, the app instructions state that you should place the mic against the crown of the watch. As soon as I did that it worked! Awesome little app 🙌🏾
