Since 2017, WatchChat is the fastest and most reliable app that allows you to send and receive WhatsApp messages on your Apple Watch. Simply scanning a QR code will synchronize your watch with WhatsApp, allowing you access to the wide range of features WatchChat 2 has to offer.
WatchChat 2 Features:

Setting up the app for the first time only takes 4 simple steps:
- open the app on your Apple Watch
- open WhatsApp
- in WhatsApp, go to (Settings) > (Linked Devices / WhatsApp Web) > (Link a device)
- scan the QR code that will appear on your Apple Watch after 10-30 seconds
If a message appears, just try again, it will work out eventually :)

Please keep in mind that, as the app isn’t officially affiliated with WhatsApp, available features and functionality are subject to change. To keep up with everything, the app has been updated more than 70 times since its release in 2017 - I am always looking for ways to offer new features or improve the existing ones.
You can use the app for free forever, but if you want to support the app's further development, the "Support WatchChat Development" subscription CAN be purchased for free users to access the "Contacts" and "Status" sections and will grant access to future additions. After the free trial period, if offered, the subscription automatically renews with the price and duration given in the purchase button unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. YOU CAN MANAGE AND CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS BY GOING TO YOUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS ON THE APP STORE AFTER PURCHASE. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
As of January, IF you want to sign up for the subscription, the free trial period is 3 days, it is billed annually and the price is about the equivalent of 5 USD.

Excellent app and support is A-class!
First ever time I have felt the need to write a review….but am very impressed! This app is excellent and the support from Alex is VERY fast and accurate!! App does exactly as described, allows full access to WhatsApp on the Apple Watch.
Great layout and conversations are easy to read (even pictures show really well with the ability to zoom in/out using the crown wheel). Simple to reply to messages straight from the watch (I am using it on an Apple Watch 7 running WatchOS8).
I had a query on a couple of aspects of the app which were answered by Alex extremely quickly, with friendly informative responses……and when I say quickly, I mean it! All my questions were answered by email within an hour of me asking each question…..that is rapid service! Very impressive all round!
Fantastic little app
I’ve tried other WhatsApp knock off Apple Watch skins. And that’s what they are really. But this little app is very consistent. It loads conversations very quickly and as soon as you finish composing the text (I use VoiceOver as I have low vision) it sends straight away. On other apps you have to check that it’s been sent and very often it hasn’t been. Admittedly, it’s only crashed once, I haven’t been using the app that long but already it’s far superior than others I’ve paid for. The help and support you get from Alex is second nd to none. He is incredibly prompt and very informative. He cares about the app and the use the experience of the people who use it. Quality control is important.
Works well - brilliant customer service
This app is a wrap around for WhatsApp on an Apple Watch. It does exactly as it says - but is obviously limited by the size of the keyboard on the watch.
However, I can now start a conversation with my contacts as opposed to only being able to reply to a message received.
It’s also useful in that you can see previous conversations so can check information.
I had problems putting it on my watch - but my request for assistance received an immediate reply which worked.
All in all - definitely worth having on your watch - and an added bonus is that it is free.
