Waterdrop

I started using waterdrop less than a week ago and already I can feel the huge difference it’s making to my health. I was never good at drinking plain water and so my hydration levels were never that good unless I drank lots of hot drinks.
Since hearing about waterdrop and using it and keeping my hydration levels where they should be each day I feel so much better. This is a fantastic product, so easy to use and so lovely to drink. Having the app means I can check my levels and make sure I’m fully hydrated every day. The packs are a great size to carry with me as well so I can keep hydrated and benefit from their goodness wherever I am. Importantly also for me they are sugar free as I’m type 2!!
Thank you so much Waterdrop

Best Water Tracking App

Love this app! Got it recommended to me after purchasing a waterdrop bottle and some microdrinks and I’m really enjoying tracking what I drink and I feel so motivated to reach my daily goal. I also like the fact I can track other things than just water too like fruit juice and coffee, as the previous app I used had anything but water locked under a subscription service making it impossible to track things accurately. It’s nice to be able to log the microdrink flavours I try too. I hope in the future they’ll add more drink options as not everything is suited to my needs yet (I have to log my lattes as americanos and smoothies as fruit juice) but for what it is I’m thoroughly impressed.

Collecting health data

I can’t use the app without consenting to waterdrop collecting and using my data for advertising purposes? And the only way to opt out is to email the company? I thought Apple cracked down on those type of advertising habits. It shouldn’t be mandatory for you to use my data for advertising purposes in order to use the app. Shame, as I was about to purchase the drinks.

To follow on from the above - it is the use of data for advertising purposes I had an issue with - not you use of the data to help run the service/provide insights etc. but you should be able to do that without selling my data to third party advertisers, which you specifically call out and ask for permission to do. If you don’t plan to sell/use the data for advertising purposes I suggest you remove that statement from the permissions screen - unless you do plan to use it for ad purposes?
