This release promotes the Atom beta firmware version to live, and based on feedback also includes updates to better handle low rpm sessions, improved Garmin and Polar H10 HR belt connectivity along with other minor bug fixes and enhancements.
As well as improved ANT+ broadcasting and better Tickr HR belt support, the beta - and now live - Atom firmware greatly improves the ride experience in both the Wattbike Hub app and also third party apps such as Zwift, with more responsive gear and gradient changes. The latest live Atom firmware is now v1.02.00 (Atlas)

Could be great!
Love the bike and Watt bike support when I had a fault has been fantastic. The main reason for the low score is that the app seems geared to pro’s. Would be nice to have a training routine for “normal” people to use to shed kG’s, get fit or progress.
There are lots of 20min routines or then the fundamentals which are around 1hr+ - there doesn’t seem to be any clear structure for someone wanting to improve fitness. I have a good base level and can push 280W in my FTP but I still don’t have the time or power to get through the whole fundamentals routine esp combined with other fitness I want to do for strength!
A wish list would be:
That you bike learns from previous results when exercising and recommends the next workout! Or keeps track of what you did last time and suggests the next workout.
Handy app but room for improvement
Wattbike is my favourite gym tool and this app works reasonably well with the bike. The best thing is the live polar view and PES scores which replicate what you see on the bike screen but with the additional benefit of colour coding. All the stats are saved in the hub too. There’s some room for improvement. Setup is definitely fiddly and not intuitive but once you know how to connect phone to bike via Bluetooth it’s then ok. One feature they should introduce is the ability to create custom rides/plans or to import them from other users. There’s a huge opportunity to create a community of riders here. The issue related to doing plan rides outside of the scheduled days reported in earlier reviews seems to be resolved. Overall a good app but still room for improvement.
I have been using the app for about 9 months, 4 to 5 days a week. Never had a crash, and syncs with my Wattbike Atom every time. Since the last update, my heart rate belt syncs every time also. The latest update has also improved the overall resistance feel. I don’t feel the need to use TrainerRoad just yet. Plenty of programmes to use, I’m working my way through the 50 mile training plan. It could be improved with some flexible and customised training plans, but it’s not a big issue. Overall I’m very pleased with the app and the wattbike (in fact l love it!), and have made tangible gains in my watts output performance.
