Description

We should all feel safe in our homes and neighbourhoods. Unfortunately, we are becoming more isolated, less knowledgeable about the concerns in our communities, and we don’t always know what to do about them. Studies have shown that connected communities have reduced crime levels, and increased ability to report eyewitness accounts.

The WeAlert app lets you connect with your neighbours easily. Stay informed about your community and share safety and security concerns. It will empower you and your community to do something about them. You'll have a powerful tool for preventing crime and catching those that would harm you and your loved ones.

Use WeAlert so we can stand together and make our neighbourhoods safer.
Are you happy with the WeAlert app? We would really appreciate your feedback, wishes or a nice review. Thank you.

► Join your neighbourhood automatically
► Focus on local safety
► Straightforward alerts with the right information
► Control which alerts you follow

► Multiple neighbourhood security sources in one news feed

► Neighbourhood safety

WeAlert empowers people to increase safety in their neighbourhoods. WeAlert helps you connect with your neighbours, so you can send and receive valuable information about safety concerns in your community. It helps you organise this information in such a manner that you and neighbours can act on it. WeAlert also combines various safety and security news sources in one news feed that will only show you locally relevant news. You can find safety and crime prevention tips and products in the app. You will not only be aware of security concerns in your community, but you will also have the means to tackle these together with your neighbours.
Convinced that the WeAlert can help you and your community, but still have some questions? Contact us at info@wealert.io or visit our website https://wealert.io .

► Neighbourhood watch initiators

If you have already started or want to start a neighbourhood watch in your community, the WeAlert app can help you take it to the next level. The structured approach and the automatic enrollment in groups makes it much easier to manage than WhatsApp or Facebook groups. You don’t have to store private data from your neighbours and you don’t have to instruct new participants constantly. The focus on safety prevents discussions from going off topic and makes sure that alerts will be taken seriously when they happen. WeAlert is not a local marketplace like Nextdoor or Facebook.

► Local police

WeAlert can help local residents prevent crime, but it can also be a means for law enforcement to connect with the neighbourhoods. By using the WeAlert, you can learn what’s going on and help communities improve safety and security. The app will also guide users to call emergency services when an alert calls for it.

► Local authorities

The positive results of digital neighbourhood watch communities can no longer be neglected. Safety in homes and neighbourhoods are at the foundation of the prosperity of residents. With the help of all residents it can be quickly determined which neighbourhoods need attention. Civil servants can work together with observant civilians to make our cities and towns great places to live and work.

► Our society

Home burglaries and robberies have an enormous impact on people. That's why it's so important to prevent these crimes together. Unfortunately, the world will never be crime free. However, we can strengthen our communities and give victims a positive perspective on dealing with these crimes. On top of that we can increase the chance that perpetrators are caught by being vigilant together and providing the right information to our law enforcement. We don’t believe in naïeve safety. We believe that safety is something we can influence. We can reduce crime by being aware of danger and by having the knowledge, the tools and the power of the community. Join us, WeAlert together!

Doesn’t work as it should

I thought this was a great idea but what’s the point of allerts if you can’t click on the ‘read more’? Nothing happens! Also, the first one is always a welcome message. I’d like to delete it or at the very least mark it as read so that only new messages are displayed. It needs work before I’ll bother using it again, sadly.

Advert banners and glitches

I thought this was an advertisement free app but I’m repeatedly getting advert banners at the top of the page and even if I’ve read notifications the little red circle with number in to indicate new notifications fails to clear. Tried the usual uninstall app and reinstall but it’s still occurring.
It’s efficient as a means of being aware of on going suspects/crimes in progress/just occurred so we can all be more proactive in making our neighbourhoods safer.
But for the ads and glitches it would have scored 5.

Good

Good app for information etc, but there’s been no updates since September? Is this due to the app not working or no one updating it
