Still a pain, but slightly better

I have to use this to readily access the data on my weather machine, but what a nightmare compared with the good old days of Weatherlink (couldn’t upload our data from Weathercat). On this phone (iPhone 8) I can’t even get past the Allow Cookies page!! On my other phone (iPhone 10) at least I can now see my data in centigrade (hence 2 stars), after months of having to translate EVERY SINGLE TIME. I still can’t always get today’s info without shutting down my phone completely.

Used to be great, slowly went downhill to this

Used to be a good UI with easy at-a-glance viewing of the essential data. Gradually became less reliable until someone else seemingly took over development.

But now, the hour and week graphs are an inch tall with a huge range, -10C to +30C which means there’s no resolution as the temperature essentially never goes from -10 to +30 in the same week. Meaning the range from 0 C to 15C that it does go is compressed into a tiny space. Same for wind and rain. This means you have to scroll down and then you lose the axis labels showing the time or date - so you have to constantly scroll up and down to see what the time is! It’s unbelievably ridiculous and is so bad that whoever came up with that design should be fired. Oh and the stupid temperature gauge on the first screen is pointless, it’s also got no key or labelling. Everyone knows what 15C right now means, there’s no need for a clunky looking gauge too. Revert to the old UI and everyone would be happy.

What happened?

I used this app for many years and loved it, it was fantastic, accurate and very user friendly..... now it isn’t and is more a liability.
Changes to the user interface not so long ago killed it for me, it’s so illogical and cumbersome to use now I simply found it easier to switch to other new apps on the market.
The golden rule of any business if you have something that works don’t change it, and if you must do extensive market testing first before you release anything!
Clearly the latter was not done here and you can see the public response.... what a miscalculation, or utter arrogance, but either way it’s probably put the final nail in the coffin for this app!
Stupid doesn’t cover it!
