Description

Beautiful visual hour-by-hour weather forecast app with widgets and watch complications.
Nowcast, daily view, rich styles, and unmatched attention to detail.

Newly added: Sky background, a new WatchOS 10 app with Smart Stack widgets, native mac app, rain & snow alerts and vertical (in a Dark Sky app style) layout option.

Weathergraph is a beautiful visual hourly weather widget and forecast for Watch, iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with the Apple Watch app, watchface complications and weather alerts.
Powered by Apple Weather, Foreca, Pirate Weather (aggregating NOAA's HRRR, GFS and GEFS), Open-Meteo, and yr.no/met.no.

It shows:
- Nowcast (real-time rain & snow forecast updated every 30 minutes – PRO only)
- Rain & snow alerts based on nowcast data (PRO)
- Hour-by-hour temperature (main colorful line)
- Hour-by-hour precipitation — rain, and snow (blue chart)
- Hour-by-hour cloudiness (cloud cover) and sunshine (clouds on top + sun rays)
- Hour-by-hour wind speed (red line) and direction (red arrows)
- Hour-by-hour precipitation or dew point (dotted line)
- Hour-by-hour atmospheric pressure, absolute, or rate of change (purple line or arrows)
- Hour-by-hour UV index (rainbow dashes)
- Real day/night (sky color)
- Daily temperature minimum and maximum (overlaid above chart)
- Actual temperature and place (on the top)
- Sunrise and sunset times

Hikers, runners, bikers, kite surfers, pilots, and many outdoor enthusiasts around the world love the at-glance readability, customizability, and reliability.

Weathergraph is offline capable. The app caches the last acquired forecast for up to 24 hours, allowing you to hike or run outside the network (or go running or biking with a wifi-only Apple Watch) and still see the most recently fetched data. The data refreshes automatically once a connection is available.

The hourly forecast is updated every hour, nowcast and rain alerts update every 30 minutes. If rain or snow is expected during the next 3 hours, you will get a notice on a widget (iPhone, iPad & Mac), a large complication (Watch), and a detailed 3-hour precipitation chart in the app.
Nowcast and alerts are powered by Foreca and depend on the precision of rain radars in your area.

Weathegraph cares about your privacy. No ads, no tracking, and no sharing of locations with third parties. This is how I want all the apps on my phone & watch to behave.

You can unlock professional Apple Weather, Foreca, Open-Meteo, and Dark Sky forecast sources, weather alerts, nowcast, and all styles and options via a reasonably priced subscription, which covers the cost of data and allows me to further improve Weathergraph. One-time Weathergraph Forever unlock is also available.
Thank you for your support!

If you liked Dark Sky, Weather Line, Weathertron, or Weather Strip, then Weathergraph might be the best replacement :).

What’s New

Version 1.0.263

Chart legend now shows half-open, so that you can see both the legend and the app at once. This should make the chart easier to understand.
And the animation of details view is back.

PREVIOUSLY:
Weathergraph now keeps the latest successfully obtained location instead of expiring it in 36 hours so that it can provide forecast even when the app is missing the Always location permission.
Introducing demo mode, that lets everyone evaluate the full functionality of Weathergraph with one randomly selected location every day.

Re-enables NWS forecast source for the US. The NWS endpoint, that Weathergraph was using previously, broke, and the replacement one doesn't provide precipitation amounts, only probabilities.
I modified the app to be able to work with probabilities when the data source requires it. The probability chart will be more distinct to replace the precipitation chart, and details, vertical layout, daily forecast and forecast texts will show precipitation probabilities instead.

SKY BACKGROUND: Enjoy the full-color background matching the sky at a current time of day. Tap the Skylight option in the app and widget preferences, and you're in.

New Menu Bar Icon: Now, Weathergraph is just one click away! Choose between an icon, temperature display, or both on your menu bar for quick access to detailed forecasts.
Keep your widgets regularly updated with a new 'Launch at login' option.

RADAR AND CLIMATE
- NWS radar (for the US) or Windy.com (rest of the world) loads up with your actual location marked and centered.
- Weather Spark is a climate report service ran by enthusiasts, who love data visualization as much as I do. There is no better place on the internet to get the info about how are the Canaries in September. Weather Spark integration displays the closest point from the Weather Spark database (one is nearby).

If you know of friends or fellow outdoors lovers, who would love Weathergraph's visual forecast, I'd be grateful if you could share or tweet a screenshot to let them know.
Thank you! Tomas.

Has to be the best ever weather app, watch app & widgets to die for…

This has so much info & is highly customisable so I can’t see anyone being disappointed - you have multiple sources to choose from then you have all the widgets which come in flavours. It’s simply drop dead gorgeous and accurately does its job on feeding us visual weather reports. Think all other weather apps must have this up on whiteboards in their conference rooms saying “we need to be more like this guys”…😎☀️

The cherry on the app for a lot of users will be it’s Apple Watch app and it’s complications, they even have a couple set up ready to dl straight into your faces and start using - and it’s pretty much as deep and sophisticated as the full iPhone app rather than being a stripped down side kick. I love it…⌚️

But best of all the developer is a great and constantly improving the app with updates I’ve just noted I got one now. I couldn’t recommend this app more you get a trial and if you share you’ll get 3 months by which time I put money on you agreeing. You’ll be ticked at Apple for being so boring and sloppy with their weather apps. Tomas Kafka should get a medal for this app & I salute you Tomas! 🫡

With huge thanks and hopes that you go from strength to strength with this app,and good luck with any other you may venture into, god bless!

My go to weather app…

As a mountaineer, and a mountain guide this is by far THE most accurate, update and aesthetically pleasing app for keeping up to date with accurate changing weather that’s unpredictable. They even have an incredibly beautiful widget for your Watch, Watch Ultra. That show’s incredibly clear, easy to read information straight on your wrist for even more easily accessible information that you need to monitor weather. I have subscribed to these guys as I’d rather support an independent source that has completely restored my faith in weather apps. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast or even someone that loves up to date weather, a traveller then this is the app for you.

Graphics and facilities are ok

I have downloaded this application to give it a second chance to get a better review, but I am afraid the updates in my opinion have not improved the application and as stated in your update comments you did introduce problems.
Rest assured I will not be downloading this application anymore. And my feedback will remain as is.

Graphics are good and application has a few configuration options. After many days of testing this application I found it still has some issues. For example the watch and phone weather status sometimes are not synchronised, even with same update time. Weather information server crashes. Scrolling issue took forever to fix. Similar costs as Carrot weather, with much less functionality. It is a very expensive for what you get as a weather application, other applications offer much more for your money. See weather mate Pro. This Application has been removed from my phone and watch. Subscription has been Refunded.

Developer Response ,

EDIT: Hello Steve, you got a refund, you say you uninstalled the app, and yet you seem to come back after every new update to give a two star review. I have troubles understanding this, if there is a specific problem, could you contact me at support@tomaskafka.com?

Hello Steve, thank you for notifying me about the problems. As the watch and iPhone apps are standalone, and I don’t want to store any location data on my server, each app is free to request forecast in slightly different time, and get a bit different result according to forecast or nowcast model’s latest data.

I apologize for a recent few hours long server outage, I have put more safeguards there to try to prevent this issue from happening again.

As for the “This application is not ranked …”, feedback, there are many weather apps, and not all can fit the visible places of the ranking (which is also different for each country). I think it would be unfair to require all upcoming apps to be at the visible positions of ranking - every new app starts somewhere lower.

I also disagree with the “No responses to my suggestions” part - so far I have written you six emails as replies to your feedback and remarks.
To be honest, it is not in my powers to respond to every email. I read every email, and have many of the things you asked for on my to-do list, but I prefer to invest the time into making the app better for everyone, instead of replying to every email, and letting the app underdeveloped.

I understand you are unhappy about the app and the price. I sent you the instructions on how to request a refund from Apple (developers are prevented from doing this directly) - it’s a matter of a few clicks, no questions asked.

I believe that the app is priced competetively, and below the price of many of the competitors. Please take into account that the app has to both pay for commercial forecast data, and for a development time, especially if it doesn’t show ads or track the users.

Best regards, Tomas
