Web Help Desk Mobile enables your Apple iOS device to receive SMS text messages from SolarWinds Web Help Desk each time a customer ticket is created or updated.

Web Help Desk Mobile is not a standalone application. To receive SMS text messages, you must have a user account on a supported server running SolarWinds Web Help Desk version 12.1 or later and an Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) certificate. You can download SolarWinds Web Help Desk and the latest APNS certificate from the SolarWinds Customer Portal at https://customerportal.solarwinds.com.

SolarWinds Web Help Desk is a web-based automated ticketing solution that helps you manage your IT support requests for both internal and external clients. This solution supports email ticket creation, automatic ticket assignment and escalation,

Outdated, ugly interface, notifications don’t work.

Please update the app. Looks clunky and outdated, like it was made for the iPhone 4. They probably acknowledge this by the selective use of one screenshot on the Appstore, which is of the configuration screen rather than the application itself. Despite saying it’s been updated for iOS 11 compatibility, push notifications STILL don’t work. How am I to know when an urgent ticket comes in? I have to manually check at random intervals even though notifications are turned on. Sort it out, please! It’s been YEARS. Read the posts in your forums about what all your users are saying, get a move on and act on it! What do your team of developers do over the years?

Does what it says on the tin

The app does what it says on the tin, but not the greatest companion.

I know it's free, but for such an advanced tool and with people paying licences and the like, this mobile version is far too limited, yet it has so much more potential.

Eg limitation - When out of office we are reliant on the ticket being one of our own "My Tickets" or a recently updated group ticket in hope to find and update on the go. This is due to the very limited searching.

We can't put tickets in descending or ascending order to start dealing with the oldest ticket first and are unable to search by Status, priority type, company and locations.

Although it does what the app description says, I think there is more effort and creativity available to the developers to really make this app worth it.

I also believe the dashboard would be a very useful upgrade and possibly a vital part of this app.

For now I'm afraid it's just an average app.
Would be worth using it after a few needed upgrades.
