Life changing!

I have tried so so many fitness apps, guides, PTs! SO MANY - And they have never really stuck with me… for various reasons, I either felt confused, not pushed enough, too overwhelmed or not supported however WeGlow has honestly saved me! The app is so simple to use, so user friendly; I use it for and Advanced 5 day a week training at the gym, but my mum equally loves it as a beginner on 3 days a week training at home!! You aren’t discouraged for starting as a beginner or slow! Or at the gym or at home! We have both lost over a stone since using this app!!! The apps food is amazing, the learn page has explanations of exercises and terminology that aren’t confusing to beginners to read! Finally the journey page which I love to store all of my progress photos that normally get lost in my camera roll! Overall the app feels personal, it feels like you have a friend on this journey with you, with daily positive quotes as reminders really make me smile instead of aggressive guilt tripping tactics! I am redoing the 66 day challenge and would recommend if you are new and just want to start! Stef is an amazing friendly coach who does it with you!!

Good but needs improvements

I like the app itself and all the functions but the user interface needs a little help. For instance, when the app accidentally crashes or goes back to home page mid workout - to get back to the same point you have to sit and click through every ‘next’ button including the breaks between each exercise until you reach the exercise you were at before it crashed. It’s time consuming and can be easily fixed.

Would be much better to enter/start a work out and either do it in the order they have but also be able to choose from the overall main menu which exercise you’re doing if you want to complete the exercises in a different order from the one laid out. For example, say I’m working through a lower body workout and in my gym the leg press machine is busy, I can skip this to move to dumbbell deadlifts. The app should allow you to swipe left to bring up main menu (it does this) but let you click on different sections of the workout - e.g I would click dumbbell deadlift and the app switches to this part of the workout and let you do the 3 sets and mark them as complete. So now there’s a gap of leg press that isn’t complete but you can return to it when the machine becomes available. I hope that makes sense.

This app has my heart!

This app is unrivalled !

A consistent gym-goer for a couple of years, I found I was becoming really sick of the same stuff and, also due to a pretty major move, I’ve turned to home workouts. I have tried another fitness app before but it did not engage me like WeGlow has. The workouts are hard, but I feel so bloody good after, and I really like feeling like my fitness is improving (I’ve struggled to feel that in the past). Real-time workouts are a huge plus for me, I find them so much more motivating and Stef holds me to account a bit more (!).

Also, I really feel that there is a push on movement to feel good and I love this. I’ve had experience of exercising as punishment and under-nourishing and after feeling in a rut with the gym, these workouts are making me feel good - the feelings are my focus, not the aesthetics. They’re all accessible and you can get a good sweat, and all workouts offered are so thought through; I don’t feel like there is yoga just for the sake of it, I can feel how good Mara is at what she does. From a similar standpoint, I am massively appreciative that you can switch off cal counters for the recipes, previously I had to avoid this area of fitness apps because these numbers would trigger me. Again, the emphasis is on wholesome, good food and not numbers.

This app is one of the things that makes my day 🫶🏻
