Description
Have you ever wondering why don't the status bar displays the iTunes track data? If yes, then this is the app for you. :)
For some reason, Apple did not include this feature into the great Mac OS X. With What's on iTunes you can select the data to display. Just that. Simply.
You can select:
- Artist
- Title
- Album title
- Year
- Play count
- Length
You can select the separator character, and even the text color and background color. Moreover you can control iTunes with the basic play control buttons.
Ratings and Reviews
Great app
Works as expected. I like that you can customise the info that shows, but like the Jonny671, I find the continually scrolling song names annoying. My preference would be to only scroll on mouse-over.
I've noticed that if you have quite a few apps with icons in the status bar and you open an application with lots of menus (e.g. XCode); What's on iTunes isn't visible in the menu bar at all.
Pretty good..
Its getting there. Quite annoying the way it keeps scrolling across the top of the page, maybe a few times and then stop. Also when you go to change song, you can't change again immediately without moving off the app and then back onto it again to change again. Few issues, when these are fixed it'll be much better.
Useful but unfinshed
Like Jonny says, you can't fastforward without going off then on. However being able to just peek and know immediately what you are listening to is useful.
It would feel a bit trange without it. Team it with quicky if you want to avoid the issues it has.
