Description
Does your knowledge of geography need to be improved? "Where in the World" is a fun & educational way to learn about the locations of the main World cities & landmarks.
How good are you at geography? Maybe you know where New York is, or London. Do you know where Baku is? How about Sofia? How about the Taj Mahal? I think most of us could improve our knowledge of geography.
WhereInTheWorld is a simple game to help improve our knowledge of places in the world.
The easiest option would be to select World Capitals, with a maximum score per question of 400 points.
More difficult are Landmarks where you will be presented with a small image of a famous landmark - worth 450 points.
Finally, select cities of the world - worth 500 points.
In each case, you will score if your guess is with 500km of the correct location.
If you are struggling, you can request the country (for cities) or name (for landmarks) which then reduces the possible points by a half.

Good fun, good value, needs one small change
This is a fun little app - great for adults and / or children. One slightly annoying quirk - the locations are sometimes a little off meaning you don’t get full points even if you click on the exact location. For example Panama City is shown as being in the sea. They are only slightly off so it doesn’t spoil the fun and hopefully will be sorted out soon.

He Alex. I am glad you enjoy it.
I have gone through every city and landmark to ensure that the locations are now very accurate. This is in version 1.30.
Also, once you make your "guess", the map switches to hybrid mode so that you can see the cities etc. marked on the map, with the answer centred on the map. You can then hit the zoom button to zoom right in to really see where the "answer".
Also, you can now repeat the game to make sure you have learned the last 10 places. So please give version 1.30 a go. :)
Great and educational but one small issues
Really enjoying this app. a small bit of feedback. Some cities are in two places particularly where they are named after another e.g Perth Aus named after Perth Scotland.
