MAC address doesn't refresh without refreshing the app

This is a good idea this app but where you have different access points, you can't tell what access point you are "currently" connected to in "live time". As soon as you open the app it pics up the MAC address of the access point you're connected to, but if you move towards another AP and your phone changes what AP you are connected to automatically, the MAC address doesn't update unless you close and open the app. This means you can't easily find "The sweet spot" for a certain device if they all have the same SSID.

iPhone-only!! But very useful

Very annoying that this is an iPhone-only app which has only a crippled compatibility-mode display on an iPad. If this were fixed, then it might be a pretty nice app. This needs to be addressed urgently.

Also, having to hold down an on-screen button in order to perform time averaging is a really bad idea, because the presence of the user’s hands hovering over the machine seriously reduces the wireless data rate, so distorting the results being recorded.

Despite these criticisms, this app produces useful results and seems to work reliably. It’s an important feature that (apparently) delivers actual throughput performance measurements as opposed to merely reporting a nominal maximum data rate based on the current modulation scheme in use by the wireless LAN communications. Useful app

I wandered around checking signal strength which produced some interesting results as I was testing a new router which did not seem any better than my VM Superhub2.
Then I took my phone and stood it next to my new router
and this is where it really scored as I adjusted the external antennas on the router you could see the signal strength change so I was able to set the antennas to the best position. It would have earned 5stars but I can not see any way of selecting the 5 G band only the 2.4G
