WillyWeather organises the world's weather data into the most valuable local information. The app includes radar, satellite, detailed wind, rain, tide, swell and UV forecasts, as well as moon phases, and sunrise and sunset times.
Going beyond the average weather service, we process and fine-tune forecast data to the specific coordinates of thousands of locations including all suburbs, towns, beaches, rivers, parks, lakes and islands.
WEATHER DATA
• WEATHER - Seven day BoM weather forecasts tailored to each location including min/max temperatures, and detailed weather descriptions.
• RADAR - Raw BoM radar data, refined, processed and integrated with iOS maps.
• SATELLITE - National satellite view, displaying cloud cover for the entire Australian continent integrated with iOS maps.
• TIDES - The most comprehensive tide times system in Australia, bringing together BoM standard port data with offsets from the Australian National Tide Tables and various state based marine agencies. Includes every beach in Australia, and many river systems and inlets.
• WIND - An amalgamation of the most accurate global wind forecast models gathered from the BoM, NOAA and ECMWF, interpolated to the exact coordinates for each location and vetted against real-time wind observations to deliver the best performing information.
• UV - Hourly UV index forecasts, including alerts outlining extreme conditions when there is risk of harm from unprotected sun exposure.
• MOON PHASES - Full moon and new moon phases, illumination and rise and set times. Deeply integrated with tidal data.
• RAINFALL - Intuitive visual indication of rainfall probability and intensity for the week ahead, using the latest ACCESS models provided by the BoM.
• SWELL - Swell height, period and direction for each beach in Australia.
• SUNRISE SUNSET - Sunrise and sunset times with first light and last light.
• REAL TIME observational data - with trends for all locations including current temperature, feels-like temperature, rain today, rain last hour, humidity, pressure, wind speed, wind direction, wind gusts and dew point.
• BOM WARNINGS - Easily accessible and specifically targeted to the locations affected.

Ratings and Reviews
By far the best weather app
This is the best weather app I have come across! The UI is simple and easy to use, but incredibly informative. They use Met Office data which is definitely more trustworthy than other data sources. Great customisation of notifications for alerts, weather updates and rain. Really impressed with it!
One suggestion would be to add home screen widgets similar to what the Apple weather app offers. If we had that, I wouldn’t be able to fault the app!
At last I’m down to one app!
Over the years I have used many weather apps. At present I have 10 (Yes 10!) apps on my phone and iPad to track the weather. I surf and paddle board and really need to know a lot of info before I venture out. I came across this app from a paddle boarder who has paddled over the world and round the country and provides Ted talks with a wealth of experience. She recommended this app as one of her essential items to have for her travels. She was right! This app is spot on. Other apps I have all miss something which caused me to toggle between them to paint a full Picture prior to my trips. This does that and it’s live as close as it can be. No 1-3 hours ago reporting this is as live as it can be. Wind, tide, swell radar, warnings etc etc all there! One “minor” point. I can’t get the widgets to display on my Apple Watch 7 yet even after following the instructions. I’m sure this will be resolved in a future update. The price is fab for the full version too. I have paid a lot for subscription versions which as I have said before don’t have all I need. Get it!!!
Looks Good, Feels Good, iT iS Good
As a crap drone pilot, I am used to seeing crap weather Apps. This App, is not one of those.
As satisfying to say as it is to use, ‘Willy’-Weather gives me all the info I want, all I need, and then some - (adverts). It is my ‘go-to’ App for pretty much all my flight-planning in any given situation out-of-doors.
It works, it’s live and relative to your local weather sub-station by wizardry and a kind of magic.
This App is, quite literally ‘Tomorrow’s-Tech’ being that this is a ‘forecasting’ App, (whimsical & pointless, yet somewhat enjoyable)
Well worth the £3.99, although I haven’t paid it, nor have I been paid for this honest, unbiased review. (valued at approximately £3.99 on the coincidental market).
I think you have just found the weather App you were hoping for. Try if for free, you may agree
