NAT over internet

I used to use your app to connect to my home computers, but these days a 4G connection is 100Mb/s faster than ADSL with the tradeoff of being behind a CGNAT. There is no way to connect to my inbound network unless an outbound connection is made first. Maybe the biggest thing that can happen with RDP protocol this year could be introducing a cloud based service to register machines, maintaining the connection so you can compete with the likes of Teamviewer and logmein. I have moved with the times, 5G is the future, there is not enough PIPv4 addresses to go around.

One last issue on iPad

The app is becoming great and virtually free of bugs, very happy with this tool. One last thing: the screen of the iPad has unfortunately round corners, whereas computers use right angles displays. The app could correct this weakness of the ipad by ticking an option to ignore pixels in corners. Instead it tries to find the max feasible resolution on the ipad screen to display a rectangle and a good part of the screen is not used because of the corners. I still give 5* to the app because it is a design flaw from the ipad, but it would be amazing if this app could do something to maximize the display! Thanks.
Edit: the problem of ipad round corners has been mitigated in options where you can choose to cut corners. many thanks

Grrrrrrrr!

I used Remote Desktop every day on my iPad Air. I had to do a full reset due to major problems with the iPad last week, but Remote Desktop wouldn’t re-install. I’ve now discovered it’s because it’s for IOS 13 only now and my iPad can’t update to that as it’s too old. Grrrrrrr! Please can you sort it so that the millions of users who don’t want a new iPad can use it if they have to do the same as me? The other alternatives are no match for Remote Desktop.

Update. I had a response from Microsoft who told me to go to the App Store, find my purchase history, and download the older version from there. Thank you Microsoft, I have my beloved Remote Desktop back again!

Developer Response ,

You can install version 8.1.42 on your pre-iOS 13 devices by searching through your purchase history in the App Store.
