Good, but not perfect

It mostly does what it says on the tin. However, there should be a way of toggling between the keyboard effecting only the remote desktop and the machine (a mac here) that your remoting via. Currently too many shortcut keys, shuch as closing a window instead of closing the remoted software's window closing the whole Remote Desktop App. Then you have to log back in after which it takes 10 mins or so for video editing software to get audio sync back. This will happen quite often as it's very difficult to not use those shortcuts that you've been using for 20 years. Also the software gets cofused when using keys such as Control, thinking youspeaking to the remote PC rather than the software on that PC. 'In the flesh' this confusion doesn't happen, so it's definately something to do with the remote software. But those quite annoying problems aside it does the job.

Excellent

The devs do a great job with this app. Regularly updating. Without it, I very likely would have a different OS installed instead of Windows 10!

One small issue - every so often, maybe every 3 - 4 hours (seems to happen randomly but I haven't timed it), there is a disconnect and auto re-connect. I'm not sure if this is a setting in Windows 10, but when the auto-reconnect kicks in, the Microsoft Remote Desktop window size is wrong. I use NOT full screen, just the window sized to the maximum size of that I can use without full-screening it. When the auto-reconnect kicks in, it’s back to a default small square window in the centre of monitor and I have to double click the titlebar to get it to the full size I want again. Not sure if this is Windows 10 of a bug with the app, but I’m sure it’s probably app-side. Apart from that, great app and bug fixing - very much appreciated folks!

Just too glitchy

The latest version is not nearly as stable as the now-superseded earlier versions, which will not work with MacOS Big Sur. If you are on Catalina, do not upgrade to this. There are too many OS glitches, with the menu bar randomly disappearing from the top of the screen, pointer and screen items misaligning semi-regularly as the window jumps into a slightly incorrect postiion on the screen, but the pointer remains correctly orientated so that they are a few pixels out with each other. Stealing focus across multiple screens, so that all windows activate, rather than simply the screen that you're working in, meaning that anything running on the native computer gets bumped off of the screen until you minimise windows. Basically, the previous generation of this program worked much better. This does all of the same stuff, but the glitches reduce productivity. If you are running any version of MacOS before Big Sur, avoid it at all costs; if you're running Bug Sur, sadly you're stuck with it.
