A God send!

I find the wisdo app to be a god send as I find it very therapeutic to talk and give advice on people problems.
There are various groups you can join ranging from depression, relationship issues and loneliness ect. You can create an online profile and add your picture. I would say be careful to watch out for the odd guy that takes advantage and uses this as a dating app which I find spoils it for members like me that actually uses it for it original purpose but overall I found the people on there to be friendly and helpful when offering good advice. At times I do find the app to be a bit slow in terms of the way it refreshes each time I open it. Other than that it’s a very good way to communicate and connect with people. Thank you wisdo! 😊👍

STEER CLEAR of this DANGEROUS app!!!

I originally posted a 5* review, but have now seen the sinister side of this app. I discussed my experience of what triggers my anxiety (cynophobia = dogs), after being averse to the constant mugshots of dogs plastered on the anxiety forum; and asked people to tell me why dogs are so beloved to them. I was met with sheer hatred and group bullying by members, told that I should shut up by an ‘administrator’, and threatened by a ‘guide’ that I had breached the T&Cs and would be suspended if I carried on questioning why people loved dogs so much...yet the ‘guide’ could not tell me how I had done so when asked. Basically, I was ganged-up on & told to get off the app if I didn’t love dogs, even though 1 in 20 people suffer from the debilitating & traumatic symptoms associated with cynophobia. Please don’t engage with this disgusting app, as you may come out of it feeling 100 times worse. This app is moderated by lay people who are totally inappropriate to have such power: they have no formal qualifications to do so (yet I have a MASW) and use their subjective views and opinions to deal with mental disorders that require objectivity. This app has left me feeling even more damaged - STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!

Disgraceful

I’m utterly shocked that you have no free option. I have to get a ‘free trial’ or pay? I completely understand having subscriptions and what not, it is a business. However, I joined not knowing and I couldn’t even post one thing? You promote being there and having what people need, when I’m reality you don’t! Not even a small portion! I needed a small outlet, not only for my own problems with anxiety/depression/ocd but recently loosing a family member and having the constant worry another very family member will kill them selfs while I’m at work. I have a alright support group around me thankfully, but there’s only so much you can go over and talk with, without dragging them down too.

I just thought is was disgusting you promote something, and not even have a small free side, even if it was make 10post’s or a limit to posts/groups a week, at least something to test out if you like it.

Sorry it just really rubbed me the wrong way, and there is so many ways that they could get around thins but alas I don’t hold my breathe.
