good, but missing one thing

First off, i love this app, i use it all the time, but it needs needs needs to allow me to but in how many words i have written in a session instead of having to put in the grand total all the time, i really want this feature as i have stopped using it because of this :(

Very useful motivational writing App!!

I think this is a lovely motivational app for creative writers and would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs that gentle push along the way to writing their next Megaverse Trilogy.

As to the criticism the previous two reviewrs leveled at the app, I have to say it works perfectly well for me. In fact it does some of the work for you really since most word processors only give you a running count of the total words you have written in a document, this app actually gives you the number of words you have written per session by doing the arithmetic of subtracting the previous sessions total from the current sessions total, thus giving you a words typed per session count, makes sense and more importantly works well for me!!

Great motivational app for writers, could be better

This app is simple to use and wonderfully displayed. I like the way you can add an individual session into the writing sessions part, and the new word count and percentage are displayed on the main screen. I’m not sure what the other reviewer is talking about because you can add individual sessions, and that review almost stopped me from buying this, but I’m glad that I did anyway. To look at your writing project and see how many words and how many days are left is very motivating, and it makes those long writing sessions even more satisfying when you see your words remaining diminish. One thing I wish it had would be a calculated tally of how many words per day you need to write in order to reach your goal, as this would be a simple thing for it to work out and would give you a clear daily goal. Other than that though I highly recommend this for added motivation in your writing. I also have the Subplot app from the same developer which is also a brilliant app for writers.

Sorry now I have used the app a bit more I realise that the other reviewer was write about the word count not adding up. I thought you could enter individual sessions and they would all add towards the tally on the main board, but it doesn’t work that way, which is pretty silly. You have to calculate the total words you’ve written yourself as you’re going along, and as I’m using this for a redraft it doesn’t work that well, also it won’t be good if you like to seperate each chapter as you’re writing a first draft, as then you won’t have a word count for the total, but instead a word count for individual chapters.
