Infiltrated by scammers 😳
Over the past few months I've been challenged by new players (male)around a dozen so far .
Profile reads ... they are recent to the game ... US residents but play with UK dictionary.. they start chatting and it's the same pattern.
Widowed, wife died tragically .. cancer , child birth, car crash ... left with a child or children. Working in the oil industry and usually abroad . Or a medic working in the Middle East on a peace mission. Ask about my marital status , kids, employment , religion, favourite colour, food ... it's like a questionnaire. Declare they are God fearing. Call you "dear" . English is a little dodgy. Then they want to chat off the game despite the fact you tell them you are married . Invitation to exchange email, google hangouts or viber ... er no thanks ! I've been asked for iPhone gift cards twice and if I'd purchase a mobile phone for someone's daughter ?because apparently when you work on an oil rig you can't access your online banking ! These guys are scammers and preying on gullible women... decline , delete and block !! Shame because these guys are spoiling an otherwise great game!
No way to close some adverts!
Love playing this, have done for a few years. Just had a small “Ziffit” advert covering my letters, whether I held the iPad landscape or portrait. Had to close the app and reopen. Hope this isn’t going to start happening a lot!
Update: Adverts are getting ridiculous now. After playing a word, an advert for a product appears and has multiple screens now that you have to partially watch until an arrow or X appears for you to be able to close it - but that just takes you to the next part of the advert, then the next, and then the last part! Just sitting waiting for arrows and exes! And tricking us by putting them different places on the screen. Come on WWF! These adverts are putting me off and I might move onto some other word game if this carries on. I refuse to pay for no adverts because almost everything is asking you to pay for no ads now. Just one section to an advert is fair, but not multiples! Please play fair WWF!
