I don’t understand why people are giving five stars. I cannot change my address or phone number!!!!!!!!! and there is no support without a transaction number. Conclusion: the equivalent of a fast food operation, if you don’t expect much you won’t be disappointed.
Another annoying detail is that the World Remit ‘Merchant’ category is inconsistent between countries, some are registered as ‘cash’ and some not consequently if your card has a cash limit and the payment is higher than your limit, it will fail even though you might be paying for products or services. This kind of detail reflects on the quality of the app.
Another detail.... it doesn’t work if you are using a VPN.... no explanation, just trail and error revealed that, another detail missed.

I’ve only used this app 3 times whilst they had an offer of no fees for first 3 transactions. I was hoping for an app that allowed me to donate online rather than having to visit a shop in town (I’m slightly disabled and can’t get about easily). Two transactions went through with no problems but the third was rejected with no explanation. I emailed to provide identification but they’re not interested. If there’s a problem with the transaction, the least they can do is provide a reason that might help the customer in future. I’m deleting the app and will await the refund.

I’m not able to provide a customer number because you’ve disabled my app. I tried setting it up again with all the same details but an alternative email address and it was disabled once again. Without knowing the reason why, how can I know what, if anything, has been done incorrectly? I’ve been trying to send funds for charity purposes (there’s no option for saying this is the reason) but I’ve been unable to do so. I became slightly disabled in December so an app which meant I don’t have to travel to a money shop would have been ideal. But why cancel a third transaction to the same person? It just doesn’t make sense. I’ve had to make alternative arrangements at a time when I don’t need stress, just the ability to make a difference in the world made easier.

No Genuine Reasons Why My Account Was Closed

I try to send money to a family member of mine for financial support the amount I sent was about £2600 the payment had gone through then I received an email asking me to call them. I called them straight away it took them 20mins to answer my call. I told the customer service guy the reason I was calling. And then he started asking some questions like the name of the person I was sending the money to, I told him the persons name, and this someone I have already been sending money to with world remit. He then asked me, how is he related to me I told him is a family friend, he then asked me how long I have known him for I respond all my life he is my childhood friend. He then asked me what is the money for I said it’s for financial support. Then I asked what’s the problem he said nothing his just trying to get information about the transaction I said ok no problem. Then he kept me on hold for another 10mins when he came back he said the transaction has been cancelled and my account closed. I asked why, he couldn’t give me a reasonable answer. I checked my email I was informed my account has been closed and that they will refund my debit card. I just don’t get, it seems like the customer service guy I spoke to just decided not to authorise the transaction based on his own discretion.

We have a review department that reviews all transactions as well as accounts and decides to close an account if it does not meet our approval criteria.
