Immorally taking advantage of your customers

To The Wowcher Team ~ I have been a long standing customer, supporter & advocate of your company for many years now I’ve spread the word about your company far & wide & recommend you to so many people & companies I’ve lost count. I’ve had some brilliant purchases & fantastic deals from your site & haven’t had a complaint before now. However it seems somewhere somehow some people (cuz it can’t just be one person) have taken their eyes off the ball because when your making deals selling products that are no longer fit for purpose anymore & have even been removed from stock & discontinued by the main companies themselves & other stores that stock them it’s extremely unethical & immoral for you to then continue to sell them when they will no longer be compatible with Updates, Systems & Devices !!

Ok so I have never been on Wowcher. I did a Google search to find a particular item this was the first place that came up and looked to be a decent price the cheapest compared to the others that were showing so thought I would check it out. So decided to buy 4 of the items and came across something else I just had to buy. Well first things first I paid via Klarna total was about £32 thought great I can pay by Klarna and split it between 3 months and at the price they were charging decided to get 4 when I had been looking at 2 possibly 3.I paid. Luckily I went to double check that the order was accepted etc as I have learned the hard way always to double check. Good job I did because apparently it’s not as simple as just paying for what you want. You then have to redeem the “vouchers” you have just paid for. FFS 😡😡 so I redeemed the additional item I had seen the scrolled to the 2nd (qty4) item I had ordered and redeemed that voucher only to find out that each of the qty 4 had to be redeemed individually each with a minimum of £3 postage if I’m ok waiting nearly 3 weeks. To get it in a reasonable time 1 week it was £4. So I top of the £32 I then had to pay £16 postage which I was not able to put on Klarna. All in all I could have gotten the 4 items cheaper (inc p&p) elsewhere.Beware if you are using this it’s not straight forward and you most certainly are not getting a bargain.

Trying to use it to redeem my voucher

If I had known the ‘My Wowcher’ section in the app would just keep loading and wouldn’t work, I wouldn’t of bought a voucher on the website. I had to install the app again which wasn’t the problem, the problem is half of the app doesn’t load for me. It’s not my phone as I have the latest ios and my internet is fine, it’s just this app. Luckily I have the voucher until March of next year but if the app still doesn’t work, what do I do? How do I receive the product if the section it’s making me redeem the voucher doesn’t work? It just says ‘Loading’ on the My wallet section as well. It’s as if they put these deals up and if the deal is too good, prefer if you redeemed the voucher for credit which means you can’t get the item you want and forced to use your credit on something that won’t save you as much money. Do I sound like a conspiracy theorist? Maybe but it’s either intentional they’re app isn’t working so I can’t buy the one item I wanted or they want me to redeem for credit or they’re app is just not working which is still bad for the tech side as it’s pointless having an app for the purpose of buying something, only to find you can’t buy it? I’ve tried the common sense stuff like closing the app, changing to 5G but a few of the drop down pages just load or take me back to the last page as if it can’t load it. I also find it kind of humorous they put a timer on a voucher of only around 3-4 months even though you’ve bought it… seems cheeky given it’s your voucher, should be at least 12 months in my opinion. The lay out of the app isn’t good either.

I booked a hotel stay with bed and breakfast at the Ramada hotel in Cheltenham for my daughter and son in law as a surprise for her birthday. I paid an extra £40 for a dinner voucher, I called up the day before to just double check it was all booked and good to go! Good job I did as I was told that their kitchen wasn’t in service so couldn’t get dinner (even though it was advertised and paid for) or breakfast!! I was told it would be a continental breakfast, then when they arrived they was told toast and cereal for breakfast!! I contacted Wowcher and the hotel to get a refund for the dinner and breakfast and said it should not be put online as an offer when all it was is a room, the outside wasn’t very nice (I was informed when my daughter got there) I’m very disappointed after nearly 2 weeks (I was told 3 days) I still have not received a refund or correspondence from the hotel and all I’m getting from Wowcher is a WhatsApp each time I message saying please allow 3 days!! I then emailed in the email I was added to that still nothing has been sorted to get an automatic response from the hotel to say they are on Annual leave and that I will hear back from them when they are back!! This is rubbish customer service! And it is still be advertised on wowcher when the kitchen is still not in service
