Room for improvement but generally very good
I really am enjoying my Xiawa ‘E25’ having selected it after testing some cheap brands and the brand leaders in its price range! The app is fairly intuitive and with Google integration and the ability to add Siri Shortcuts is ahead of anything else in this price range! The remote controls are ok and could benefit from less latency and that’s the bit that makes the device a bit fiddly to control manually! When I’m the map it would really benefit the user to be able to identify where the bot is by using a different colour to identify its current condition!
One big ask would be to in Clyde a back to dock instruction in the voice automation.
Overall a better than average product and am sure with tweaks to the app it will improve over time!
Very bad app and services
App and company is a bit of rubbish. You get the cctv works with an app, where you have a number of options. You pay subscription to get premium or you can go without to have a short clips to view in case you will receive notification. Then you will receive notification(which is extremely late) and because of you use your mobile data MI Home app will not the show you the clip, because you’re on mobile data and there isn’t any option to change this. When you’re on wifi and you click on notification it won’t play the clip either it will take you to the live video and will give you pop up reminder to pay subscription to get 90 days premium. One way or another it seems comrades have sold us a dream which only works certain time then they try to push you to the wall and charge you for subscription which is the most expensive one on the market and it didn’t work as you would expect to due to super slow notification and problems while you on mobile data as there is no option to change the settings in case like you have unlimited data or so.
Another problem is that I had an issue with the subscription where I found extremely bad customer service, pretending to be UK based customer service which is not, is based in China and they deal with issues like a very badly programmed bots.
Such a shame when this device looked so promising
Great app!
Brilliant app for the Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaner - full control of the ‘bot’ from this app and the room mapping screen is excellent and informative - you can even select a specific area for the vacuum to zone or spot clean. All maps are held in the memory, alongside details of the area covered in square metres and time taken per cleaning session. You can also schedule cleaning routines and the app even tells you when to replace vacuum filters and other parts!
Very easy and quick to set everything up, with an intuitive interface.
My only wish for future development, would be, to have the option to save zones and rename them as rooms (kitchen, living room, bedroom etc.) and then have the ability to schedule cleaning routines on a specific room - I’m sure the developers could easily achieve this, if it’s not already on the cards!
Well done to them so far! Highly recommended!
