Amazing!l for sending to the Philippines

I’ve been struggling to find a way to send money to my family in the Philippines without it costing a small fortune! Since Xoom came out, the exchange rates and transaction fees are much cheaper than if I would use my bank or credit card services! The speed of sending the money is amazing too! Taking less than 24hours! Really recommend this especially if you’re supporting family because you have the choice to link it with your credit card too! I love it! I can’t speak with sending to other countries but to the Philippines it’s amazing!

Waste of time, waste of nerve

I have transferred money from Uk, first day of sending money i have been waiting that someone would approach me regarding my transaction and finally someone called but unfortunately i missed that call. Second day i called them back and asked if my money have been processed or not then i got an answer that we need your verification documents so i have sent UK’s two very authentic id verification documents and start waiting. Next day i was waiting that someone will approach me that finally my money is processing either my documents are being verified but no response, so that i decided to call back and i was told “Sir could you please wait we will check your Documents now”. Unbelievable means they were waiting my call to verify my documents. So finally that operator told me after a wait of 3-4 days that sorry your documents we cannot recognised so we can’t process your Money. I was shocked that i waste my time and nerve approaching them every day.
I was still hopping its impossible that there is no-one yo help, so i have found an option in Xoom app that “contact us if you are not happy with your decision “ something like that. I wrote them everything and till that, its been almost 22 days no response.
People who are getting successful sending their money well and good who are coming new PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH XOOM.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed with this app although I was expecting it to be great after reading other reviews..
Basically, when the amount is exceeding a certain value the app has to verify your identity, which make total sense.
I was asked however to provide a utility bill as proof of address but was not in a capacity to do so because I don’t have any bills as I live in a shared accommodation. I did tried to explain the situation to Xoom through emails and even sent them a tenancy agreement stating my address and name, I sent them my phone bill with my address on it, but NO they just kept cancelling the transactions and my account was even restricted (automatically cancelling any new transactions)
When I tried to call the customer service, explained them the situation and asked if any solutions to that problem could be find I was literally told to use an other service..
As living in a shared accommodation I am obviously not the only one facing the problem of not being able to provide utility bills. And I was shocked at how Xoom did not even try to solve my issue.
