Great App - saves me hours per month

I travel a lot with work and the old way of using a spreadsheet to claim back expenses was a real pain. Xpenditure saves me hours per month by using the phone app to capture the receipt and then submit. Also, I can approve my team’s expenses via the app.

At first the app was a little buggy and had some features missing but now is much better and very easy to use. I only give 4 stars because a couple of small features are still missing (such as approving trips via the phone app), but overall this is a great app and service.

Stopped using after 3 months

Functionality is good, but they need to get the basics right. Receipts don’t always scan properly; and incorrect VAT elements are put in. This means my book keeper has to check each and every scanned receipt, to make sure they are entered properly; and correct those that have been scanned incorrectly. Thus, may as well just give all of our receipts to our book keeper, to enter them into our accounting system manually.
If I need to reject staff expenses, then staff cannot correct them. They need to scan them in again, which is a real pain.
Furthermore, I give them all this feedback, but it wasn’t acknowledged.
Took a lot of time and effort to get setup for 10 employees; and in the end just had to cancel it as caused too much of a headache. I had bought annual subscriptions in advance and wasn’t offered a refund either. Stopped using after 3 months.

Excellent App - changed my workflow

I am a freelance musician - Xpenditure revolutionised the way I keep my records. I used to leave filing my expenses until the end of the tax year and now I do them as I go along - catching all the little things I would otherwise forget about.

It reads receipts with ease and I keep it up to date as I go along - using their helpful web interface too. It also generates expense reports and is very handy for claiming expenses from employers. Great app.

Customer service is very good and they answered my question on how to generate a specific type of report very quickly and got my problem solved. Highly recommend it and well worth the annual subscription for the clarity and ease of use.
