Where has maps gone ?

Purchased the watches a few months ago. Do the job we need them to do but the recent software upgrade looks to have gone to Apple Maps.
We live in a new build estate so before the recent update - we could see all of our streets and houses that have built to date but its now just a field !!!! Even switching to hybrid we can only see 3 streets but the estate is huge now. How can we keep track of our kids ?? PLEASE change this back.

Shocking don’t buy an xplora watch for your child

App no longer working making the watch useless. The functionality isn’t within the app. The child cannot text you then can only send voice messages or call you so you have to go in to the app to receive these and everyone who has the app gets the notification. The app has now completely stopped working and because all of the communication is via the app despite the watch having a SIM o have no way of contacting my child or seeing where he is as there is no map available so no tracking. When you go through the chatbot and request contact details it takes you back to the menu and no details are given. I have used the contact form via the website but there was no confirmation to say that this had been sent.

Ok previously but has just stopped working!

We found it relatively easy to set up, with the only slight issue being that it seemed not to let us approve one of the grandparents as a contact.

Since then all had been fine but as of the last few days, the device no longer shows in the app, all account details are greyed out, and if you try to access messages or add the device again it says “Please wait a moment” and hangs indefinitely. We still get the notifications but cannot send / receive messages or track location so have lost most of the useful functionality of the watch. Same issues as others have written about here.

Based on other reviews, will try re-downloading the app and setting the phone up again, but we really shouldn’t have to.
