Perfect and seamless
I never review anything but had to take the time to leave a review for this! I have a 2015 MacBook Pro which isn’t compatible with sidecar. I really wanted to use my new iPad as a second display and this app allows me to do that perfectly. I have only used the wired connection so far but I’ve not had any faults with it. This app saved me from having to buy a new Mac so I’m really happy
I’m a bit of a purist when it comes to UI and the app is designed perfectly and minimally with no flashy colours and ad pop ups. I love it ❤️
Brilliant to have a second screen!
I have been using Yam (paid version) all the way through lockdown. And it’s a perfect partner with my slightly older Mac.
Fantastic App
This is one of a special batch of Apps from this developer.
I had tried Duet, Astropad and Air Display 3. The suite of apps from this developer (which are much cheaper than the competition) match or better Duet, Astropad and Air Display 3.
Yam Display is a Display Mirroring and Display extension app, once you;ve worked out your computers ideal resolution settings there is no lag in using the app and it's just like you've connected a hardwired second monitor.
I know this now as I had some user and hardware errors, I contacted the developer, they got back to me straight away (within an hour of emailing them) and came up with various solutions. Reducing my 17" MacBook Pro display resolution to 1680 x 1050 instead of 1920 x 1200 it immeidiately fixed my issue.
The best part of this suite of apps is there is no Subscription model which Astropad and Duet want for their "Pro" apps.
I'm not a fan of renting software so take mat hat off to the Yam Display Team for creating an excellent product.
