Search for an address or the best places nearby both online and offline. Yandex Maps provides information about organizations and helps you reach your destination by car, public transport, bike, or on foot based on current traffic conditions.

Search for and select locations:
• The largest organization database and filters to refine your search.
• Detailed information: contacts, hours of operation, services provided, photos, and reviews.
• Floor plans to find your way around Moscow's major shopping malls.
• Search for places and addresses without an internet connection (offline maps).
• View places saved on your smartphone, tablet, and PC.

Custom map settings:
• Real-time location of buses, trams, trolleybuses, and minibuses.
• Road maps that show current traffic conditions in the city.
• Parking layer with the location and cost of official parking.
• Street panoramas for a road-side view of any address.
• Choose from three map types: Roadmap, Satellite, and Hybrid.

There are more "Ideas" now! The mode is now available in Kazan, Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, and the surrounding regions. In addition, it has two new sections called "Have fun" and "Explore." They show recommendations for landmarks, parks, historical estates, and more places for relaxing or active recreation, all selected just for you.

Found the Yandex map of Moscow and the metro app invaluable on a recent visit to Moscow

Great apart from one thing!

This is by far one of the best travel apps for Moscow and Russia. However, after selecting the to and from destination you can see the yellow “let’s go” button at the bottom or the screen. Which if pressed will revert you to your previous search, the button which will show you the route is the get route button which is in blue and harder to see. Please do something about this! It is very annoying as I use the app daily!

Excellent, but...

I use Yandex Maps in Belgrade (Serbia), the reason being that it is the only map app that has correct house numbers (unlike Google, Apple Maps, Here), which I understand was done for the purpose of Yandex Taxi entering the Serbian market.

The app also offers a Serbian interface, despite iOS itself not offering a Serbian localisation.

HOWEVER - the app ONLY offers Serbian in the Roman script (not Cyrillic). This is perplexing for three reasons:
1) Why offer the app in Serbian, but only in the secondary alphabet used in the country? It’s trivial to offer both.
2) The Cyrillic alphabet is the official alphabet in use in Serbia.
3) Yandex itself is a company from a country that uses the Cyrillic script.

Fix this and my review goes to five stars, because the app is otherwise excellent.
