Yatzy Multiplayer - Play Dice 17+

Good

This is a good take on this dice game. It has a few useful ways you can score that the other Yatzees I have don't. You don't get any bonus if you roll a second yatzee though, and it also doesn't count as a full house, which I would have thought fair. Good though

Me again after latest update May 2021. One of my favourite games til now - why the new silly slow graphics? Very disappointed. Again, what wasn't broke didn't need fixing.

Ruined. Why change it? What worked didn't need fixing. I may have to abandon. The game I've played in idle moments almost every day for years is changed so much I don't think I can be bothered to acquaint myself with it to play anymore. What were you thinking? PS after persevering with this new version: this scoring system isn't variable enough. With standard set points for too many roll combinations, there can be so little variation between players that winning hinges entirely on who gets a, or the best, a Yahtzee. Used to be with variations in scoring of pairs, triples, straights based on face value of the dice, a player might still beat an opponent without a Yahtzee. Change it all back please - this upgrade was NOT an improvement. REPLY TO DEVELOPER RESPONSE: thanks for your attention and comprehensive explanation! Much appreciated, even though I really wish we could go back to the game I loved before the recent upgrade. I will have a go at your suggestions for customising. Cheers.

Hi Luddite64! Thank you for your feedback. The game as you see it now is not set in stone. We receive daily feedback from our players and try to improve the game to make it fun for the majority of people. We already have several points we are working on, such as size of the dice or an option to display them as in the old Yatzy and faster menu animations. We continue to collect feedback and see how fast we can get things done and are eager to improve the game. As you may know, the app hasn't been updated since June 2016 (over 2 years). This also means that the code that was already old at the time (from around 2014) now basically counts as obsolete and that we could hardly work with it. At the moment, the game is still working, but we also have to think a little bit into the future, because with iOS 12 a new operating system will be released this year and the longer the game gets no update, the more likely it will be that at some point it just stops working. In addition, we often received requests for an online mode and more background options, which would not have been possible for us with the old code. The old Yatzy version is currently only available in two ways, with a device that uses an operating system older than iOS 9.2 or our Gold version. The Gold version (Yatzy Gold) is completely ad-free, but costs money to download. Since we no longer support and update our Gold versions, the download is at your own risk, because as explained earlier, it may be that this version at some point just does not work anymore. If you want to actively help to improve the new Yatzy, we are happy to receive further feedback from you! / Edit Jul 18, 2018: Hi Luddite64. Thanks for giving the new version a chance. In the standard mode that is used online, the sum of all dice only applies to "Three of a Kind", "For of a Kind" and "Yatzy" which is where the best combination will give you more points than just getting the combination right. If you want more variation or different rules, you can either try out the 6-dice mode in offline or create a custom game with the rules set to whatever you want them to be. When selecting "Play Offline" just chose the mode on the right side that reads "Custom game without Highscore" and then tap the gear icon that should be highlighted. Maybe this helps you enjoy the game more! For online mode we have currently set our house rules as the standard for easier, fairer and faster matchmaking (because everyone will play by the same rules) and the scoring is easy to understand.

Awful since upgraded it! Very buggy and board is weird!

Stop deleting my reviews!!!
The board gets narrow as goes up…. Very off putting when playing or your eyesight is not great! Needs sorting now!!!!!
Also, now very very unstable when playing. Goes into game, then no dice showing and won’t roll, yet fine game before!
Use to play daily, now very little, as just annoying. Will be checking out other versions. Pity, as use to be the one to play!
