All the information I needed

I had a delivery via Yodel. Given what I had heard / reviews on here I wasn’t sure it would arrive / the app would be useful but I was pleasantly surprised.

There’d been an issue at the warehouse and the company I’d ordered from had been in touch to advise the delivery wouldn’t take place on Friday as ordered. No wonder the Yodel app was saying the parcel would be with them soon.

As it was a bank holiday I wasn’t expecting the delivery until Tuesday but on Saturday at lunchtime I got a notification from the Yodel app with a two hour timeslot. I checked the app part way through the timeslot and it told me how many stops the driver had before my delivery. An hour before the timeslot advised the parcel was delivered. It was on the doorstep and the driver was returning to his van as the delivery guidelines said.

My experience seems at odds with the other reviews. The app did what I expected and was accurate (I got information other reviews say they didn’t do the app can provide that maybe it’s the device chose by the company they bought from or driver that meant other reviewers didn’t). The driver was polite and the package was undamaged. Nothing more I’d expect from a delivery service.

STUCk at sender it’s poor

Despite the E-mail came it’s said my parcel has been despatched on Friday 27th May as I kept & kept checking progress to nothing I think there a glitch on the app & web site. Has there been tracking parcel problem? I’m sure it is remain stuck at the sender address..

There I had made a formal complaint as I’m not getting a good comment from the gardening express mail order company that it’s took 3 days to get tracking to appear as I’m sure there been IT fault since the e-mail was sent to let me know it’s did not been on transit since after the weekend til 1st June it’s was ridiculous that tracing should have been active since they sent the E-mail & why it’s said ((Sorry, we can't find that
parcel. Please try again.)) that I tried tracked for 3 days that it’s not good enough as I suspected that there is evidence to be an IT fault I am sure between the gardening express or yodel courier there is the problem getting tracking that shouldn’t be stuck like that it’s wrong. I’m think yodel shouldn’t be that poor delivery service like Hermes courier it’s ridiculous. I am ceasing future order to the gardening express because there is no telephone numbe4 as I had to use Twitter account to get into touch it is not fair.

Customer experience lets it down

Overall the App itself is fairly easy to use, lets you know when the order is being delivered ect. But with the experience I’m still having, I don’t recommend using yodel at all. I ordered my parcel a week ago from now, and I am still yet to have any update where my parcel is and when it will be delivered. This wouldn’t be such an issue if I didn’t opt for the next day delivery, but considering I haven’t had an update since the app stating “there’s been a delay” my parcels whereabouts i unknown. This is when I contacted yodel 3 times to each have the same response” please allow 48 hours while we track this for you” having waited that long, yodel still can’t seem to find me a correct answer to where my parcel still is. I then had someone tell me to expect to receive a text message with my 2 hour slot option, which I never received. Overall I am still waiting for an update that seems like it will never happen, just wish places such as ASOS wouldn’t rely on yodel as their courier as there are much better, reliable options out there, such as DPD with their amazing track record
