Amazing 😀

So it’s 2022 coming up 2023 (while im writing this review) and of course a lot of people need entertainment, so I’m writing a 5 star because of how amazing the app is, you can scroll (like TikTok) you can watch / listen to things and subscribe to the people you like. In fact, is it your dream to be a influencer or vlogger? If so record on YT now cause you get subs so easily! BUT there is always something not perfect with everything.. I love the app but there is a few things that need upgrading and deleting.. So if you go on YT Shorts, and you scroll you will notice a lot of children posting videos of them selves which you cannot change. It’s basically fyp but maybe change it to things that people like instead of children since they have there own app (YT KIDS) to watch all for themselves.. Other than that I think it’s a great app and you should download it right now! Tysm for looking at my comment and bye 👋

New bugs in latest update?

The app is mostly good, however in the last few days (since the newest update) I have experienced a few bugs that have caused me to have to reinstall the app or close and reopen it. The first was strange stutters in video and audio whilst watching anything, not related to internet connection or resolution. I had to delete the app and reinstall it for it to become comfortable watching videos, however even now I still witness a few occasional stutters in playback that I have never seen before during normal playback.

The second bug is around the comments section. Sometimes comments will not post regardless of how many times to press the send button. Even if you delete the draft and open a new one you are still unable to post a comment, and changing video does not fix it. Was only able to fix this after closing and reopening the app. These aren’t massive issues but I feel like there are a lot of these little bugs that come and go over time and can be a bit of an annoyance when trying to watch stuff.

Overall the app has good functionality, and 4K HDR videos can look great on an iPad, but I would like a bit more polish in regard to some of the playback and commenting bugs.

Almost Flawless but small Issues

Firstly this app is brilliant and holds up to computer versions and is one of the highest quality apps I own. However recently on iPad I’ve been having some minor issues with the small screen feature, when in small screen while browsing the video playing seems to zoom into the top left side of the video, and when resuming in the medium screen, small screen is active, so half of the page is black and compressed vertically. It is very strange and difficult to explain however I trust that if this issue has been experienced by others and is known, then a bug fix shall be out soon. Another bug (at least I presume it’s a bug) that is becoming more prominent is when searching, the suggested search fills up with, well suggestions which can be very helpful. However it can get very frustrating when upon clicking multiple times, the suggestions never work, and you end up having to type the whole thing out. These are only minor issues and overall the app is excellent, and I expected nothing less most content creators are genuine, and it is easy to upload content of your own.
