zooplus - Online pet shop 4+

Iv been using Zooplus for a few years now. My dog has to have special prescription food that is very expensive if I buy it from the vet. After doing lots of searching I have found this online pet shop to be the cheapest. The app is easy to use and keeps your details safe so you don’t need to keep putting them in every time you place a order. There is also a button so you can re order the same as you did before so you don’t have to search for it. Iv also just ordered a water bowl for my dog. Yes it was rather expensive at £34 with 10 filters but when I checked eBay to see how much they are on there and there was none that was less then £50 so even though it’s expensive I still was getting a good deal.

I have been with Zooplus many years now and highly recommend them still. Good on price, great range of products and free, speedy delivery.

My only gripe is that some of the companies they use are noticeably raising their prices, unjustly I believe. The level of increase has been quite noticeable in recent years. For example, ROYAL CANNIN. Our breeder had recommended that product to us when we had our Golden Retriever, who is now nearly nine years old. This product, price wise, was quite reasonable at first, even occasionally a double size pack (12kg) at the price as one, I think. However, they stopped that after a while, back to the which was well under the price now. However, gradually the price seemed to leap up in the last year or so from around +- £ 39 /£40 ish to around £60 per. 12kg pack. This was too much for me and unfortunately, I have changed to a similar breed specific pack for around £40. This may not be Zooplus’s fault but between the supplier and them, someone is doing quite well out of it.

Taggy the super-energetic Hungarian Vizsla has been enjoying Lukullus dry dogfood ever since he weaned off puppy food. We chose it because it is cold-pressed (retains natural nutrients), has quite large pieces to slow down his abundant enthusiasm for food and suits his slightly sensitive gut. When our daughter’s elderly Australian Shepherd came to live with us, we changed him onto Lukullus and it has transformed his extremely sensitive gut, from weekly upsets lasting several days to rare upsets lasting just a few hours.
I would recommend Lukullus to any caring dog owner but especially those struggling to find a food to suit a reactive gut.
